My mother received a red outlined GAC.

Is this an alternate waiting area card?

We didn't quite understand what the guest relations cm explained to us.

Thanks in advance.

Hopefully Sue will be along to answer in a minute, but I think all GAC are red outlined. They have stamps on them to help you.

For example, we use dd's stroller as a wheelchair so we have that stamp. We also need a quiet place to wait if she's having anxiety so we get that stamp too. Go back to Guest Relations and ask them specifically what the stamp(s) your mom has and what they mean.

Are you there now?
If you are, you can just show the GAC to CMs at the attraction you want to go on. That is the general instruction on what to do with the GAC at attractions. Whatever icon is on your card tells the CM in general what sort of assistance you need.

Not all attractions have all things people might need according to the stamp on their GAC.
So, at one attraction, you may be routed one way and at another attraction, they may not have that same thing. So, CMs at the next attraction may have you do something else.
And, there may be several ways to handle the same need. So, it's possible one time you come to an attraction, the CMs may have you do one thing and the next time they may have you do something else. It doesn't mean either CM did things 'wrong' - it could just mean that they thing they did one time was not available the next time.

I realize this doesn't really tell you exactly what you are asking, but it really is not possible to tell anyone that exactly.

Thanks so much Sue I read the sticky #6 post and it explained things a lot better than the cm for me! :thumbsup2

The GAC card tells the CM what to do. You just hold it up to the CM and they will pass you through. DO not give it to them. You will need it for your next ride. I get one for my son who has autism.

You can actually hand the CM the card, they will look at and hand it right back.
