GAC and Baby Swap

My family and I are going to WDW with another family who has a child with Autism. They plan on getting a GAC for him, because he will have difficulty waiting in long lines while being surrounded by so many people. I have a few questions:
(1) I know that the GAC includes her son plus 5 other people. Our group will total 8 people (including her son), but 2 members are babies. Will we be able to stay together as a group, or will we exceed the allowed amount of persons? I was thinking we wouldn't, since either the babies would not go on most rides, or if they did, they would be in our arms, but I just wanted to get other opinions.
(2) That leads me to the GAC and baby swap. Has anyone ever used them together? How does it work? When we present the GAC to the CM, and it is a ride where there is an alternative waiting area, do we tell them we also need baby swap? Do others recommend not doing both at the same time? It could be that I don't quite understand baby swap as well as I could, and need more disboard research!
Thanks!

I don't see a problem using both at once.

I have never done it.

your child with Autism would apppreciate the baby swap - if he doesn't like a ride he will be able to stay with the adults doing the baby swap - if he loves it he gets to ride again with the other adults. just make sure that he knows one adult in each group...
