We just returned from a very fun DL trip and I had to share my experience with the WOC Dessert Party.
One of my daughters has a dairy allergy which usually means that she is limited to sorbet or fruit or packaged cookies when we eat out. Although she does say that the packaged cookies at WDW are quite tasty.
I had her allergy noted on our ressie. I received a call three days prior to confirm the allergy and Disney Dining wanted to find out how many in our party were effected.
When we got to the table and our desserts were served, I was happily surprised by the plate they brought for her.
There was a raspberry cobbler, a cool Mickey macaron-type cookie, some chocolate options, and some fruit. They had clearly put a lot of thought and effort into the allergy-free option and it was awesome.
It made the dessert party totally worth it for us. That and my 5 year old saying repeatedly, "I love this!"
I just had to share!
