FYI - Vinylmation Trading Discontinued at WDW/DL

So folks know, I was at Disney for PHM weekend and was out to trade Vinylmations. However, Vinylmation trading was officially discontinued at the start of Feb in the parks and in DTD.

I hadn't seen anybody warn people, and I don't want people to go to WDW bringing their tradables only to find they're stuck with them.

That's exactly what happened to my family! Trading was so much fun, and my family had started enjoying it more than pin trading, so we were completely disappointed.

So what can I do with the vinyls we were going to trade this summer? Are there unofficial trading locations (I recall Disneyland had guests at a few tables in Tomorrowland trading their pins with other guests)? Do I have any options?

I remember there was a discussion about it on the Disneyland Vinylmation trading thread back when they stopped trading in February:

There are still going to be the professional traders, but no more trading with Cast Members at this point. My suggestion is that if you liked trading with CMs, write to or call Guest Services and let them know you miss or will miss trading Vinylmations. Unless they get enough feedback to saying guests miss the opportunity, they aren't going to have any reason to re-institute trading.

Very sneaky to just cut it off like that. I will take your suggestion to contact Guest Services. Even if it's just one trading box somewhere that would be great. It encouraged my kids to talk to strangers the right way and they got some Vinyls we never would have bought but they like. And I certainly don't expect to buy any more if there's no chance to trade.
