I homeschool my 6 children and I was curious and had a few extra minuted today so I called the Swan/Dolphin resort to ask about the teacher discount.
We live in Fl so when we homeschool our kids we have to write a letter of intent to the superintendet. Once the home program has been accepted you get a letter back stating that your home education program has been approved.

I asked if homeschoolers could get this discount. I was told yes as long as I had the letter from the superintendent stating our homeschool was in effect.

The rate were $169 per room. I am sure this changes as the seasons change but still a good deal.:thumbsup2

Most of you may already know this fact but I figured just in case I would pass it along.

Thank you so much for this info. I always assumed home schoolers didn't qualify for the rate. Goes to show it never hurts to ask.

Another good way to get cheaper rates at Swan & Dolphin is to book on westin.com A random day in November produces a rate of $189 with AAA. (They never check anyways) The rate on disney.com is $250. I have seen even greater price differences during peak periods.

I always assumed it to, but I wanted to know and figured what was the worst they could say. NO?? I was shocked when he said yes.
