Not sure if anyone posted this but I found it on Allears:

Cinderella's Castle Character Meal Price Increases -

Effective November 11, 2007

Breakfast A - $32.99; C - $22.99
Lunch A- $35.99; C - $23.99
Dinner A - $40.99; C - $25.99

Holiday pricing in effect November 18-24 and December 16 thru Jan 5
Breakfast A - $36.99; C - $24.99
Lunch A - $39.99; C - $25.99
Dinner A - $44.99; C - $27.99

Thanks for the info. That settles it, we're not about to eat in the castle anytime soon. It's just not worth the money to us, twice the price as a regular character meal

Whew! Thanks for posting. I'm just getting info together for our first family trip there.

We ate there in 2005 when it was still a regular sit down restaurants and the food was just ok. I cant imagine paying those prices for pre-plated, Ugh!

You might want to double check those prices because I have a CRT ADR for 12/6, booked it 2 weeks ago and was billed those rates before rumors of an increase surfaced.

There is definately something to be said about paying considerably more than any other character meal in the world but you also have to remember the setting and the other perks that you wouldn't get anywhere else. You would also like to think that the service, food and character interaction might be a little more than the norm IMO.

This is from AllEars, 100% reliable in my book. Maybe they'll only start charging the new prices for reservations taken from November 11, though that doesn't make a whole lotta sense, CRT will be booked for Christmas long before that.
It'd suck to have a reservation booked months in advance and have to pay extra when you get there!

We had lunch here on our April trip and to our surprise, the food was really, really good. One other note is that the photo package is included in the price as they force everyone to get it.

This is from another thread HERE

These are adult prices:

Chef Mickey's Breakfast +$4 ($8 for holiday from today's pricing)
Dinner +$2 ($6 for holiday)

Akhersus Breakfast unchanged (+$4 for holiday)
Lunch unchanged (+$4 for holiday)
Dinner +$2 (+$5 for holiday)

Play & Dine Breakfast unchanged (+$4 for holiday)
Lunch unchanged (+$4 for holiday)

Cape May Cafe
Breakfast unchanged (+$ for holiday)
Clam Bake +$1

Crystal Palace
Breakfast unchanged (+$4 for holiday)
Lunch unchanged (+$4 for holiday)
dinner +$1 (+$5 for holiday)

Ohana

Holiday pricing is November 18-24 & December 16-January 5

Rates are based on time the bill is printed (basically when you eat) not when the reservation is made.

PS anyone still booking a 2007 vacation, the dining plan cost remains unchanged

This makes me a tad cranky. The people that are there at holiday time are already paying a lot extra for their hotel rooms. Now they are being expected to pay more for their character meals? Someone is getting greedy!:sad2:

Wow, $4 increase for Chef Mickey's?? Whew. And this is the year my oldest is considered and adult

It's getting to be a bummer that it is my hubby's must do eat.

Beatty - Your link isn't working.

ETA:
I can't wait to hear what the price for the dining plan will be next year. I think all this major price increase is in part due to make the dining plan look more valuable. To make it look like you are saving sooo much money.

Just more ways to get Disney to get you to book packages and get away from the room only.

Thank you! I just fixed it! I wrote HERE twice instead of putting the URL!

Thats the truth!!! It looks like they are trying to really nickel and dime people. Next they will be wanting you to pay more to park during a holiday season!!! I just wonder what else they can think of?

Am I missing something. I thought more people wold be upset by this.

I guess we're all paying the price for "free" dining. Our trip is in Aug, before the increase. I refuse to pay higher prices during "holiday" periods. If they were serving a special meal, that would be one thing, but to jack up the price just because of the dates, that is nothing more than price gouging.

How many restaurants do you think would get away with jacking their prices up during Nov-Jan without offering anything different than usual?

I was told by multiple CMs that there are going to be special holiday food offererings along with these periods. No specifics but 4 different CMs told me the same thing.

Well, one would hope that, but unfortunately I have to say that it is not worth it. I took my DD three times before the change with the now forced picture. While it is nice to see the inside of the castle it just isn't worth $33 per adult & 23/kid. The service isn't any better than it is at any other character meal, in fact it may even be worse. The food is no better than it is anywhere else. I don't need the picture, can take my own.

Of course I am saying this even though I am going again this August. But, it is because my sister is coming with me & she is bringing her granddaughter and wanted her to be able to eat there. If it were not for that I would not eat there again unless they lower the price.

Well those price increases for Chef Mickey's breakfast are unbelievable! In fact all of them are rediculous. I don't mind paying for not having to wait in line to see the characters but they are already overpriced. Add to that the fact that service as well food quality and selction has dropped significantly and we have a problem.

It is getting to the point that I will not continue to book as many meals as we do. We eat onsite as a convenience but I would much rather pay less & eat at the Outback, Chilis, Margarittaville, Bubba Gumps, a good Mexican restaurant, etc. If this continues that is exactlly what we will be doing.

So yes, there is at least one more person that is less than happy with the increases.

If this came up previously and I just missed it, my bad.

If an ADR was secured and paid for (CRT in this case) for a time that falls within the designated holiday time frames, can Disney turn around and balance bill me?

I would think that they probably will bill you for the balance. They may not do it ahead of time, but I would count on it when the check comes to the table at the end of your meal.
