I'm not sure if this was covered about the email PIN code earlier this month, but the PIN code originally stated that you could get a room for $59 at a value resort. Well low-and-behold i called today to try and get an upgraded room and the customer service rep. told me i could upgrade to a moderate for about $524 at CSR for 5 nights/6 days. :thumbsup2

So it appears that the PIN code works for moderates too...not sure about Deluxes. popcorn::

It also works for the cabins - $164 (before taxes). I booked but unfortunately I have to call and cancel today. It was a spur of the moment booking but have decided to go closer to Christmas or early in April of next year - that way we do not have to pull the kids out of school.

I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything. I have a cabin booked for 10/14 - 10/21 at the AAA rate .... if I could get a $164 rate I would be BEYOND excited!!

My husband originally said we were firm on our dates ... but when he hears about this rate he might tell me to switch! Then, I would have to rethink all my plans!!!

I posted this on another thread, but will repeat here as there seems to be interest. I got an e-mail PIN code I deleted a few weeks ago because I didn't think we were going this year. Well, plans changed. :yay: I wanted a Woods View at the Wilderness Lodge for 8/25 - 8/30. When I called, I explained about the PIN code. The cast member was able to look it up and apply it to my ressie - I got it for $170/night ($70 off rack rate).

What does one need to do to recieve the e-mail pins or codes?

Tracy that is a great question. I also have the pin for the values but hold dual residence with WDW having my florida addy. I did not get the pin for the fl resident FDP that came out yesterday. I have written, called, everything. No emails!

I have signed up for everything Disney, Disney online, disney shopping, etc. I also have a TA who keeps me informed. PM me if you want her phone number, she will tell you every offer out there.

Good luck :Pinkbounc

I would also like to know how to get emails and pin codes. I had no idea that you could get rooms for as little as $59/night!

Tacomaranch- Thanks for the info! I can't PM you, I guess you need a certain # of posts before your'e aloud to. Anyway, Please PM me with your TA info. I'm fairly new to all of this and could use some tricks of the trade! Thanks!

This is the source of countless debates and speculations on the DIS. Nobody really knows. Signing up on Disney lists does not seem to help. Some have speculated that codes are sent to those who are least likely to re-visit Disney - i.e., they want to target those who wouldn't come back without some sort of extra incentive.

I would seem to fall into that category, as my family's first (and last) trip was back in August 2003. So I maybe Disney thought I needed a discount to come back in 2006. (And earlier in 2004 and 2005, when I also got e-mail codes.) Then again, I've seen other people on these boards talk about getting codes and they visit much more frequently.

Who knows. If you don't get an e-mail PIN code, the next best thing is to check out http://www.mousesavers.com for codes that can be used by the general public. It seems to me that Disney may issue these a couple of weeks after the individual PIN codes, at least if the PIN code mailings aren't resulting in the kind of booking volume they want.

Try AKL for $130 a night. :Pinkbounc :cheer2: :cloud9:

OK all you experts, tell me what I should do.....We have AAA and they said I can get $100-$200 off a package if I book with them but what if WDW comes up with a better offer? Last time I called AAA their rates were slightly higher than dealing with WDW directly. We are planning for the week after Thanksgiving. Thanks.

Cut out the middle-man and book with Disney directly. If a code pops up between now and then you can always switch to that. Subsequently, if AAA comes up with a better rate you can always cancel your Disney reservation and get a full refund if you're 7 days out or later.

Thanks! Thats what I thought too. But alot of you are so good at this ,I wanted to be sure.
