.......Magic Kingdom Christmas tree to be late this year

Last year, in order to accommodate a new stage in Town Square for Regis and Kelly to host the Walt Disney World Very Merry Christmas Parade for TV, the Magic Kingdom's Christmas tree was first erected in the Rose Garden near the Central Plaza hub. After the filming of the parade, the tree was taken down and moved to its usual spot in Town Square. Apparently, the Imagineers were not happy with the way that it worked out.

We've been informed that the Magic Kingdom's Christmas Tree will not be going up until after the recording of the parade. This means that Magic Kingdom guests who visit to see the holiday decorations and who arrive before December 4 may be disappointed by the tree's absence......

So they add more holiday parties and start the dates earlier and earlier . . . then they extend the daytime park hours to overlap those of the party . . . and now they cannot be bothered to put up the Christmas tree in the Rose Garden and later move it to Town Square (or put the tree up in Town Square and move Regis and Kelly) . . . Bah Humbug !!

I was looking forward to seeing the tree first at one end of Main St., then magically at the other!

Didn't hear about the 'overlapping hours'...definitely going to look into this!! :badpc:

always quiet - not to get too OT, but by 'overlapping hours' I mean that Wishes is now scheduled for 6 PM and daytime park hours are until 7PM - the party starts at 7 PM - so actually what 'overlaps' is the daytime guests leaving the park after 7 PM as the party guests are entering (or as those who have entered a little early are ready to begin the party). I am sorry to see them take away the hour between 6 and 7 - it was so magical to either enter the park amid the Holiday magic of the party atmosphere (or emerge from whichever land they were holding party guests in - with the party fun in progress at 7PM) - I can't imagine that the first hour or two of the party will not feel different to the party guests as they are ushering out the day guests - I just cannot imagine what they are thinking :furious: - so now knowing we will also miss the MK Christmas tree (which we have photographed with the kids for so many years) is very sad to me- I was bringing my little DGrD for her first MK Christmas!! :sad2:

Yep, my DH will be "coming along" this trip, and how do I explain there is NO Christmas tree that I have been raving about, at MK? :confused3 I know, he is going to say: "Where is this tree you are always babbling about?" :sad2: Nice, real nice..... :furious:
