I booked the Kids Stay and Play for Free at the Walt Disney World Resort for April 10-16. I only purchased a one day ticket at the time of purchase and planned on buying the rest of our ticket days right before our trip. Things happen and I did not, but was assured by a CM that I could purchase them at the front desk at CBR. NOT TRUE!

No one had any idea what I was talking about when I went to the concierge desk at CBR to purchase our tickets. One CM I spoke with treated me like I was trying to scam WDW. I called Disney Travel Company to find out if I was losing my mind here. It turns out that the CM's at the resort have nothing to do with the special offers, even though my reservation showed that I was booked under a code. The last CM was an angel and he assisted me with rebooking my vacation with the tickets. Yes, I had to rebook my vacation. Needless to say starting a WDW vacation in tears is not fun, it all worked out in the end, but buy your park tickets before you arrive. The last CM told me that the agent at the Travel Company told him that all changes must be done before arrival and check in.

We booked the kids deal last year (kids stay, play and dine for free) and I made sure to have the tickets for all the days we needed on the ressie. I was going to do like you did, just wait till we arrived to figure out how many days we'd need....but due to the DIS advice I went ahead and added enough days before we left to cover any/all we'd need.

I was the only other person on that room, so it wasn't too expensive to pay for my tickets (all ticket days had to match) on the ressie. I'm glad I did now....that's crazy that you get such incorrect information from CM's :( when booking.

I wish that I had known that DIS already advised ppl to purchase the tickets ahead of time.

I had read that CM can give conflicting statements but I do not know if they realize how much the misinformation hurts people.

Yes the CM's definitely need to be more informed on what to do with these tickets from this promo!

I posted a big long thread on the theme parks boards a few weeks ago. You can search for it under my name. Basically they didn't allow me to upgrade the kids tickets to AP's...made me pay full price when I had been told multiple times that I COULD upgrade them! I contacted guest services after we got back from our trip. They said that yes the tickets should have been upgraded and will be issuing me a refund of over $400! But it's been one big mess!

Where can i find that discount?

It had to be booked by 3/27.

We currently have 7-day tix on the offer, but are thinking about arriving a day early for the Pixar weekend at Epcot. Thinking I should go ahead and change our tix to 8-day just in case.

To clarify, would they not let you upgrade with your kids extra days free at check-in or would they not let you add days to the "free" tix at all, even if you paid for the extra cost?

I was eventually told that all changes needed to be made prior to check in, so I was being charged for my daughter's tickets, when it should have been free.

BUT, I think that if I had upgraded while at the resort with the travel Company I would have been able to receive the promotion.

BUT, due to misinformation from CM's at the travel company, I am not sure about being able to upgrade through the travel company.

If im only staying 3nights can i buy 8 day tix for the kids stay and play free deal?

Yes, you can get the deal for a different number of days than you are actually staying. We did this deal for 3 nights and got 8 days of tickets- then for the last portion of the stay used a 40% off room only code. :woohoo:

As others posted, yes you can. Remember that all tickets expire I think within 14 days of first use, unless you do non-expire. We did not use our last day of tickets and wanted to make them non-expire. BUT..I would be paying for 6 days of non-expire, not just one.
