Personally, I am thinking that they retired so many items to try to reduce the server lag. Obviously that's just my own opinion, but I don't necessarily equate large-scale retirings with any big release.

That was part of my thinking too. I thought that if they took away items it would run quicker.
Also if they add more items they would have to take away some or else it would be permanent dc.

Well this is just my luck, I wasn't able to log on that day (you know watching football should have thought to log on vmk! duh!) So i missed all of these awesome items, Thank you for posting the list i now know what to search for. aside from referee, already had that- If anyone here has any of the items for trade I'll offer full price in credits for them and some extra rare items if needed because they are now rare. Couldn't keep them in another day aye? Ah well if anyone is trading post or send pm thanks!

Me and my friend just thought of this when we found out that the flip flops were gone. You know how the babydoll shirts, bling shirts and the sweater shirts were gone from the store but not when you make a new account? Maybe there is hope that it's still there when you make a new account and make some mules to get the flips flops and give it to your other account? Just a suggestion.

I guess I am stating the obvious, but you don't know what you are truely missing until its gone. I am still waiting for VMK to bring back the Bubbling Cauldrons, the Maleficent Throne Chairs, and the Haunted Mansion Trees.

If I knew VMK was going to take away the rooms, clothing, furniture, etc., I would have bought an extra pair of the clothing, because I like to have two of everything.
