FYI for people that use Grand Californian as a "cut through" into DCA

We asked for a room key for our 2 year old and the hotel had no problem giving it. It makes a good souvenir, esp with the names and dates.

I'm not sure if they match the number of keys to the number of people in your party, since we showed them all of our keys at every entry. CM at the gate only looked at the card on top. He did check the date on the key card even though he recognized us by day 3.

I think the poster was referring to the Best Western Stovall's, as stated above.
OH! So the Best Western Stovall's actually tells people they can use the DGC entrance to the park???

That's unclear. The PP said it was a selling point to book there, but the info on the shortcut could've easily come from these boards, not the hotel itself. I just rented a house in Anaheim for our family vacation last week (3 houses down from BW Stovals). One of the selling points was that we could cut through the GCH....this information came from my fellow Dis-ers NOT the owners of the house itself (in fact she told me to walk all the way to DTD!!).

Just to clear up any confusion - the hotel did NOT tell me this, I picked up this info on the forums. We are looking to get into Disneyland in the morning from this side, instead of walking up to the Harbour entrance. If we have to take the shuttle to the main gate, it's not a big deal. Now if we can come back to the hotel from the "shortcut" at the end of the day, that would be great!

:hippie: No, they don't. I've stayed there lots of times & they never even mentioned the shortcut that I take (through the GC lobby to DTD), let alone the GC entrance to California Adventure. In fact, I've stayed at Stovall's lots of times and didn't even know that there is an entrance from the GC directly to California Adventure, until I read it in this thread. And because I'm pretty much a "Disneyland only, but will cross over to go on Soarin', Tower of Terror & California Screamin', and to see the Aladdin show" person, I never discovered it for myself! So I can't miss what I've never done! :lmao:
