Just thought I'd give some feedback on these hotels. We stayed at Embassy Suites Jamaican Court for two nights before our PBH stay. It was clean, staff very nice & helpful, open bar from 5:30-7:30, great full cooked to order breakfast, very easy to get to Universal.
We also stayed at the Embassy Suites Lake Buena Vista after our PBH stay, easy to get to WDW, very clean, nice pool, staff friendly, 2 free drinks at managers reception, good cooked to order breakfast (not as good as JC). Rooms nicer then JC. At this one I would suggest asking to be in the main building, some rooms can be quite far. It's the busiest ES in the chain & it was very busy while we were there, so the pool was very cowded.
Both have the indoor outdoor kind of pool, JC's is very small.

CPM,

Thanks for your information. I was just searching in the board to find out information about the Embassy Suites JC since my family will be going there in September. It is nice to hear good things about the hotel. I have few questions and hope you can answer me.

1. Do you know their Shuttle schedule to Universal Studio and Island of Adventure are like? (if you did take them by chance)
2. How far away (how long to walk) from the Hotel to the I-Ride Trolley stops.
3. Any nice restaurants around the hotel. (Walking Distance / or by I-Ride Trolley)

Thank you very much

Jenny

Jenny, We had our car so we just drove over to the USF parking lot, but I did look at the schedule & it seemed to come about 3 or 4 times a day each way. And sorry I don't know anything about the I-Ride. But it's basically on I-Drive so you are in walking distance to many restaurants & shops. There was a Pizzeria Uno right on the corner. Have Fun!! :)

Hi Jenny,

We stayed at the JC last year so I'll try to answer your Q's........

1. The shuttle bus only ran about 4 times a morning (And 4 times in the evening to return). The times never semed to suit us. They take a long time to go to WDW stopping at various hotels on the way. We did this once then got taxi's the rest of the time.
Universal is only round the corner, a taxi cost us about $5 - much more convenient than the bus!!

2. The I -ride trolley stops across the car park. The JC is just off I-Drive on a little "Spur" road, i guess it would take 5 mins at the most to get to the nearest stop.

3. There are two restaurants directly outside the hotel. The Pizzeria Uno , which was great (Not just pizzas) and I think the other was a Denny's but I may be mistaken. Anyway we ate in both several times and always enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere.
There are dozens of other restaurants within walking distance - something for all tastes.

We loved it at this hotel, it is very convenient for everthing. Have fun!!

Olive garden very nice! The Dennys in my opinion was disgusting stay away!

We are tentatively reserved there for Dec. with 2 king suites in the "lanai" section pool view..
1 Any idea what this is or should we switch (& to what?)

2 I have heard there is NO closet in these rooms. Is this true? what did you do with your luggage & clothing?

3What was the pool facility like (indoor too--haven't heard about this) & is there a hot tub ?

4Did anyone utilize the sleeper sofa..how was it?We have children 14 10 & 7 in both rooms sleeping on it.

Sorry so many questions but thanks for any help! I'm very nervous about this!

I'm not sure which they consider the lanai suites, but I would suggest getting into the main building, it can be quite far if you have the rooms around the pool. We had a nice pool view room in the main building. It was really easy to get to the pool, breakfast & lounge area from our room.

2 I have heard there is NO closet in these rooms. Is this true? what did you do with your luggage & clothing?
************************************
There isn't a closet but there is plenty of space for clothes, more then most hotel rooms, there is a large armoir, a dresser and a few small draws in the main bedroom. The living area also has a few small draws. There is a vanity with a sink in the main bedrooms which was really nice to have.

3What was the pool facility like (indoor too--haven't heard about this) & is there a hot tub ?
****************************
Yes, there was a hot tub, a kiddie pool, a playground too. The pool is a 1/4 indoor and the rest outdoor. It's sort of like a garage door with plastic that makes the barrier between in & out. It has a pool bar & you can get lunch there.

4Did anyone utilize the sleeper sofa..how was it?We have children 14 10 & 7 in both rooms sleeping on it.

We used the sofa bed, typical, not comfortable but my kids were beat & fell right asleep!
