Finally posting our tent camping photos from this past November. We had site 1518 which we really liked. There was quite a bit of shade and privacy with a nice path from the back of the site to the comfort station. This was nice during the day... at night, it was still a short walk to CS. The only drawback to this site was the position of the grill made it challenging to put up the tent and awning... other than that, we really loved this spot. We there in mid November and it was a bit chilly... but we had heaters and even a few nights had to put heating pads under the inflatable mattresses.

We had a great time... we were able to stay 8 nights and really took advantage of all FW has to offer. I highly recommend the canoes and the horses. Every year we have busied ourselves with the parks... this year we only did 3 days in the parks and enjoyed FW the other days. We brought our TV... which is funny, but it did make it fun having constant Disney cartoons running while we cooked breakfast.

Can't wait to get back....

Great idea for the flooring in the tent :thumbsup2 Also like the night stands and lamps beside the beds!!

Thank you.... the lamp and nightstands are quite a bit of overkill I admit. We camp far differently at the state parks and when we're backpacking ;) But... since we're at Disney....

Thanks for the pics - we are going back to FW after a very, very long absence and requested 1500 loop. Love the floor and lamps but how big is your vehicle? :rotfl:;)

What is the size and brand of your awning?

where did you purchase your flooring in your tent at?

How do you like your tent Coleman Cabin tent 10x14? from target? , how many beds did you have set up?

Do you think it would hold four twins and still have some room?

BTW I love your setup!

:) Well.... at that time we had a Dodge Grand Caravan and we took the backseat out to fit everything in and also used the roof rack. We put everything in tubs so that we could keep everything like food and cloths somewhat organized through the week and stack on top of each other in the van. Our upcoming trip we have a smaller Kia Sorrento and we have had to purchase a trailer :confused3. The van was regrettably totalled in a wreck at Christmas... I kind of regret not getting another one (but don't tell my husband).;)

What is the size and brand of your awning?
The brand is Coleman (we are diehard Coleman fans). It is an octogon shaped awning and it is 13 x 13. We bought it years ago when our son was racing motorcycles and used it a lot in all kinds of weather... it's large and stands up great in winds, etc.. we love it.

We bought those by the packs at Big Lots and Walmart. You can find them anywhere, just look for foam interlocking flooring... we just saw them on sale at Northern Tools. The foam depth can vary brand to brand and cause interlocking challenges. We love them...they are very comfortable and add a nice barrier if it's really cold. We used to use a roll out floor... but it was hard to get flat again once rolled up.

We LOVE this tent. We did find it at Target a few years back. It is very easy to put up and take down and we love being able to stand up any where in the tent. We just bought a similar one for my mom and aunt to travel with us. It also a cabin style Coleman and is 9x13. We are going to try and camp at FW in Sept. with both tents and the awning.... that should be interesting. Since my dad passed away... my mom wants to try camping with us, so we're happy to make it as comfortable as possible.

In our 10 x 14, we have one king bed (two twins that lock together... my husband bounces around too much) and a third twin. With the king, we could put another twin beside of our daughters twin comfortably. We tested positioning the beds until we found the best way to still have walking around room. The tables and all... we don't usually take camping normally, since they do take up some space. It's nice though, when you're camping for a week or more, to have little things like that.

Do you think it would hold four twins and still have some room?
Yes.... definitely. We had three twins and a fourth would have fit fine. We found that two twins with the head and foot running back of tent to front, with the other twin running head and foot side to side was the best position to still have walk around room. You can play around with it...

Have you had it out in the rain? did you use a tarp over it? Any leakes

how are the hinged doors holding up?

thanks!

yes, we have had it in the rain and without a tarp. It held up fine... even with wind. We did move our mattresses from touching the sides just to be on safe side. The hinge doors are holding up great and we like not having to zip and un zip each time. The most important things we do are to be sure we have a footprint under the tent to protect it.... as well, we pay close attention to the take down to be sure no leaves or stones are folded up and we seal it each season.
