Ok, I ussualy dont ask these types of questions, but I need some advice.

What are the chances of getting an RV site for a week in June. The exact dates can be flexible as long as we make it one weekend, gotta see the Disney Star Wars weekend :darth::ewok: :chewy: :yoda: . We all ready have the tickets (5 day park hoppers that are usable any time during the year) and would like to just park on the property for a base. If I dont get a site, thats fine, we live less than an hour away so we could drive everyday if we feel compeled. But this would be our first FW stay and so far, the only thing missing on our Disney visits is FW and a cruise (booked for Aug time frame of this year). We have visited every possible Disney attraction but FW (pixiedust: DW, DL, Tokyo Disney, Euro Disney, Epcot, MGM, Blizzard Beach, California Adventures, DTD/PIpixiedust: ).

I just heard its very very hard to get reservations at FW and with this being a short time frame, was worried we would miss out on it.

So, in your opinion, do you think we could get a site?

I just randomly checked June 11th - 15th online and there were partial, preferred, and premium sites available for those dates.

If I were you, I would contact Rhonda (rhonda@dreamsunlimitedtravel.com) and see what she can find for you. She'll automatically keep looking for discounts that you qualify for and apply them automatically. She can also make your Advanced Dining Reservations for you!!!

Hmmm, I didnt know you could check dates online......All I ever knew about was the phone number. Could you share the website link?

As for discounts, I doubt I can get anything better than I allready have. I can get 40% off so the stay wil run me about $380 for the week. If I can get better than that, Id be exstatic:cool1: .

Just in case you weren't aware, Star Wars Weekends will only be the first two weekends in June this year, not the whole month like last year. They moved them back to the original time frame that they started with, the last two weekends in May and the first two in June. We were a little bummed as we are going to be there from the 12th to the 27th and thought we could go a couple weekends, but we will get there just in time for the last weekend.
Also, I just checked and there are sites in all catagories available for my entire 15 nights. May I ask how you are getting 40% off a campsite?

Just for the sake of making sure you are fully informed. The dates for 2009 Gay Days at WDW is June 2-8.

How did you get 40% off at a campsite? We are going in June and using AAA for a premiuim site (no preferred sites were open for the AAA discount) we only got about 15% off of our stay.

I would guess the 40% off is a Florida resident rate? (can it really be that much?)

Wow, wish Florida residents could get 40% sites. AAA is usually 20% off rack rate. Now if you take the rack rate of a premium and compare it to the AAA rate for a partial, you are in the ball park.

Rack Rate Premium (May) - $93
AAA Partial Site (May) - $51 :thumbsup2
About a 45% discount

Just a thought

That sucks, we wont be able to do our camping until the last part of the month or beggining of Jul. Guess we will have to make a trip over just for one of the star wars weekend days:darth: .

The 40% discount is actualy the military discount. They give 40% off lodging (to include FW campsites) for us.
