Hello!

While we have been to WDW many times we are staying at a FW Cabin for the first time ever in a couple of weeks.

I have searched around and have not found the answer to these questions on the boards so I'm hoping someone can give some guidance :).

We are setup to rent a Golf Cart from Kenny at Tee Time -how do we charge the cart? Do I need to bring a standard outdoor extension cord to plug it into the cabin?

Last question, we are on the dining plan (it works out for us). It is my understanding that this year a refillable mug per person is included. Where at the fort are you able to refill the mugs?

Thanks! Chris

We just got back from a week long trip to Disney World and the Fort. We also rented a cart from Kenny at Tee Time. You will give them your credit card info when you reserve the cart and he will just charge your card after you pick it up at the Fort. I called him once we were checked in and he directed me to where it was parked which was very close to our campsite. Very easy.

We were also on the dining plan and you can refill your mugs at the swimming pool snack bar and at the take away counter in Trails End. By the way, I don't think we had a bad table service meal our entire stay. I would say the worse thing we had was pizza at Blizard Beach. Have fun - we sure did!

Sorry, I forgot to answer your question about the extension cord. Yes, we brought an extension cord.

I haven't rented from Kenny but have from Disney. The cabins have an outlet on the outside by where you park your car and cart. The Disney carts have a cord that is wired to the cart that you plug into the outlet on the cabin. So for the Disney carts you don't have to bring your own extension cord. I would imagine that Kenny's carts a set up in a similar manner.

as Jayhawk said you do not need extension cord/ plug on outside of cabin on driveway where you park cart and car. plus at boat dock if lucky enough you can plug in cart while at parks, also near Hoop Dee Doo and Trails End. not always lucky. do not remember about parking for park buses stop if you can plug there.

Chris, I hope you'll update us on your trip when you return. My family and I are excited about our first stay in one of the cabins in October. I had the same questions you asked so I was glad to see this post and thankful to those who answered!
Have a great trip :)

We rented a cart from Kenny and we didn't need an extension cord, as the cord that comes with the charging box is long enough to plug into the outside outlet.

We refilled our mugs in the pool area, I don't know where else you can fill your mug at maybe someone esle will know.

Trail's End has hot and cold refills. Sodas, iced tea.

The Meadow Trading Post has hot refills. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate.

Thanks everyone for the info!!! We are back and had a great time.

Renting from Kenny was super easy. We got in later in the day on check-in day and I called Kenny. He described where the cart was hidden and once I found it everything was perfect.

I did throw in one of the extension cords on a wheel things (since we drove down) and was glad that I did. I didn't need the cord but it was nice and made it a lot easier to plug the extension cord into the cabin and just have to uncoil the charger cable a little.

We ended up picking up our refillable mugs at trails end to go since the snack bar at the pool was already closed (closed at 5 everyday).

We did refill once at the snack bar during a "pool morning".

My only regret is we didn't spend MORE time at the campground. We never had a chance to go and do the campfire singalong and movie although we did watch Wishes from the beach one night. It was great!
