Last night I found the following promotion on Mousesavers.com and confirmed it with Disney this morning (one operator told me it was news to him and he couldn't believe I knew something he didn't know...another went and checked and did confirm it).

January-March Magic Your Way Package Special
Coming Soon: a special offer on Magic Your Way packages will be offered for check-ins January 1-March 8, 2006. When you purchase a package that includes a Base Ticket, you will get the Park Hopper and Water Park Fun & More features without additional charge (a value of $80 plus tax per person). The tickets will still expire 14 days after first use unless you pay for the No Expiration feature.

I don't have details yet on whether the packages will be discounted in any other way, though the sample rates that have been floated suggest some type of discounting. Booking dates will be 11/3/05-12/18/05. Check back here (Mousesavers.com) on November 3 for full booking details.

Hooray! Water park access during the three coldest months of the year for Florida! :cold:

I can't imagine a lot of Floridians visit the water parks during those months, but maybe 50 degrees is warm to some of you of the Yankee persuasion. :sunny:

Give me the 90's (degrees) or give me death! (Or at least a warm jacket!) ;) Not really, it is only cold it it drops below 70... :cool1:

I still remember swimming in the ocean during Christmas break as a kid, while the Florida natives walked by in winter coats, hats and gloves. So :flower: those of us from the north will be swimming in the midst of winter and loving every minute of it!

It actually isn't bad as long as you are in the water, it is when you get out that you get cold realllllly fast. :flower:

Sorry I agree with Golf4Food. I was born and raised a northerner,(and still live here unfortunately) and have visited WDW twice in Jan and could not even begin to imagine swimming during any of the days we were there. BRRRRRR

I'm sure I was a southerner in another life.

I certainly won't be going to a water park in January...but the "free" hoppers sure are nice. That's $120.00 more the four of us can use for souvenirs on our trip.
By the looks of it, you could even buy a 10 day with no expiration, get the hoppers, water parks, etc. for free and use it another time when it's nice and warm.

I'd be interested in this. I would assume it would be cheaper than buying it through Ticketmania ect... right? We were considering purchasing 10 day hopper plus (the waterparks and DTD DQ ect) and no expiration tickets for the next couple of year trips.

We would be visitng in January so we would fit within the requirement...I think ;)

It includes Disney Quest and Pleasure Island and the Water Parks--the number of times depends on the number of days on your base ticket. We are getting 7 days which has 5 plus options.

We will only use about 5 park days, but it was only 2 dollars more to get the 7 day--DUH! We will use the 5 days and probably 1 plus to go to DQ, and then pay for the no expriration ($55 per ticket) and have 2 park days and 4 water park/DQ/PI days for a future trip. Cheaper than buying a one day ticket later!

Wish they would do something that great for May, although I would rather have a cheaper room.

lovetoscrap,
Can you add the no expiration at the end of your trip (say after day 5 of a 10 day package)? I was told it would be $100 more per person for the 10 day no expiration package. I'd certainly think of adding more days and no expiration if we could do so after our 5 days.
Thanks,
Danielle

Do you think this would work if I made seprate reservations for hotel and tickets? I am renting DVC points and was wondering if this is possible....I know it isn't our for sure but what are your thoughts

You do remember that WDW is in Orlando, don't you? :)

The ave. highs in those months from weather.com are:

Jan 72°F
Feb 74°F
Mar 79°F

Combine that with heated water at the parks, and I'd say at least one or two days on a one week vacation would be conducive to a half day at a water park.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but isn't this one old news?

Aren't some of the water parks closed during this time for rehab?

I doubt it - you will probably have to book a MYW package to get this deal. So far, DVC reservations have not been able to use any of the latest special package offers.

This "deal" was posted on Mousesavers awhile back. It isn't "new" news........ it DOES state that you have to have a package booked.

{*POSSIBLE 2006 DISCOUNT*

Rumor has it that there will be a Magic Your Way Package discount for 1/1/06 - 3/8/06.

The booking dates will be 11/3/05 - 2/15/06.

Stay tuned to the DIS for updates regarding this offer.}

Many of us have called today, after hanover's post, and have been told that NO discount exist. If he was able to get this "deal" that hasn't been released yet, then that's great, but none of the rest of us can even get a CM to acknowledge anything about it. It is "suppose" to come out on Nov. 3rd, so I guess we'll just have to wait.

Still though, we who are going during that time frame can only wait and hope that it's more than just the hopping, and waterparks. I'm hoping for some type of discount on the room part of it as well.

I called this morning and spoke to a CM who told me DVC was not eligible for this special program. The minimum stay is 3 nights. We considered staying at PO for 3 nights when the pts are higher on Friday and Saturday, but by the time we reserved an extra night and food ect, it turned out to cost the same for us.

Maybe later they'll let us DVC people in on the special :)
