Has anybody done this excursion through DCL lately? I did a search and read some older posts about it, but I was interested in recent experiences. PassPorter rates this excursion as a 10! It looks like fun for me, DH, DS10, DS7, and DD7. We are all good swimmers and comfortable in the water. :boat:

We did this excursion thru Carnival last year. It was loads of fun, however, there was a lot of drinking. A LOT. I would not do this again with children. The snorkeling was OK, not great. The beach was fun, but it rained the entire time.

Now maybe if you book thru Disney, it is different, but I would be hesitant to do it with children.

Does it tickle your feet???? ..... Fur(r)y Catamaran :hyper:

Sorry, can't help, we will be trying Dune Buggies when we go though.

We did this excurstion on our May 8, 2004 cruise. It included a trip to a beach. Our departure time was 1pm. We had fun at the Mickey pool with hardly anybody there in the morning. It was great!

We had a great time! The boat was clean, equipment well kept, crew was nice. The kids loved it and so did my DH and I.

After snorkeling, they serve cokes, beer and margaritas - free. I did not see any thing crazy, just people dancing to the music and looking out to the shore.

We went to a beach that had tons of floats, some hammocks, my DH and DD5 rode a horse down the beach, same free drinks. I think they sold hamburgers also.

There was someone taking pictures in and out of the water and on the beach.

On the beach, there were at least 3 Fury Catamarans that came to that beach. I think we had only ONE hour! I felt like it was enough.

We were on the cruise last August. We opted for Playa sol and our friends did the Fury Catamaran. While we were disappointed with Playa Sol, our friends still keep raving about the Fury Catamaran. They have two children who were 14 and 9 at the time. They talk about it so much that we are all going to do it when we go back on the cruise next April!

I don't think that the beach here is that great or the snorkeling. Is there a better representation of Mexican beaches and snorkeling on Cozumel?

That being said, this excursion was extremely well run, the staff was excellent.
