Furniture dealers High Point NC?

I know that High Point NC is more or less the furniture mecca, at least on the East coast. Has anyone here ordered from one of the dealers there? And which one did you use.

Years ago I ordered from Furnitureland South. I contacted them today but they don't carry Bassett and I found a wall unit I like there (but it's a bit more than I want to spend).

Do you know of another reputable dealer there?

Check the Basset website. The store locator can direct you to a retailer near you. You can also buy directly through their website.

High Point hosts a twice-yearly furniture market where buyers all over the world visit the showrooms of furniture manufacturers. Most of the exhibitors rent space in the exhibit buildings. Some have permanent showrooms / stores in the High Point area. Some sell off their exhibited pieces at discounts, especially if the pieces are discontinued. You could try to contact the Bassett showroom in High Point directly. I also think there is a Bassett discount store in Hickory, NC.

Thank you. I did see the piece I want locally, and I know I can order it. I was just hoping to find a discount on it. I saw it on Tuesday and the sales rep said that sale was starting on Thursday and that the online price would reflect the sale, but it is still the same price.

Hi just ordered 6 custom chairs from basset 3 came with one leg 1/2 inch to one inch shorter than the other so I sent them back. I am having such difficulty bying furniture over the last 4 years. Quality getting worse. Can you go to North Carolina to buy furniture directly or do you have to go through furniture companies. I also want to know how to buy furniture directly. So far I had to send furniture from 2 internet companies, Ethan Allen, and Pottery barn and now basset. I give up.....Restoration Hardware and Ikea are the only companies so far where I feel I got my moneys worth. Ps all furniture stores have sales all the time. Some jack up price and then give discount in the end the price all the same. so gimmicky

I agree, I have no patience at all for the daily changes in price depending on what the current sale is. I plan to check out Restoration Hardware as well. I should have gone today, but I am so tired I didn't feel like going out. Maybe tomorrow.


In the pst I found furniture I like at a local store, got the item #s and ordered from Furnitureland South. I think the last thing I ordered was Bassett, but they don't carry it now. I may be better off spending the extra $ and ordering local in case I have any issues.
