I recently booked a short stay at the BWV and told the Member services person that I would like the Village Green view if it was available. She seemed stumped but said she would make a note of it. I just got my confirmation and my requests are non smoking with a view of the golf course green. I can just see some poor room assigner trying to locate that view. LOL:tongue:

Like has been said so many times before there are many MS and CRO's and other WDW employees that know very little about the place, this is only one example. Often you read on this site that the MS told me it was ok to do this or that, or you can do this or that and they know far less then many people on this board.:D

keep the windows open so the glass doesn't break if an errant golf ball heads your way. You know how those golfers can be! Especially when they're playing the Boardwalk Course.

Too funny! Thanks for sharing.

But on second thought - wonder if there are any rooms that have a view of Fantasia Gardens?

There might be a few rooms on the top floor (at the very end of the hallway) that aren't blocked by the Swan. Bring your binoculars. :teeth: :teeth:

aview out towards the Swan and Dolphin where the putting course is, whooooooooooo!!!!

Maybe we had the same person at Member Services. I asked for non-smoking, high floor. Received my confirmation and it said non-smoking, high chair requested (our kids are 14 & 16!) :)

Good point, I never thought of that. It will be interesting to see where the room is located.
I would mention at check in, the village green view request. It is obvious the CM you were speaking to does not have a clue!
I have to agree with PaOKW, there are progressively more and more CMs that are not thoroughly trained and knowledgable about their areas. It is ridiculous that people on the internet are more knowledgable about a resort then the CMs booking them!
A bit of advice I will give you, is check in as early as possible. We stay at BWV A LOT, and always have better luck with getting a better room in regards to location and view, when we check in early in the AM. Especially for the hard to get rooms like Village Green view villas.
Good luck! You will love staying at BWV, it is truely one of the most beautiful, luxurious and convenient resorts to stay at during a WDW vacation.

I've asked for village green view before and stumped the MS person.

My worst misunderstanding with an MS person was when I asked for a non-smoking for medical reasons, BWV standard view, high floor and got a smoking room, BCV confirmation from her. Thankfully we were still on the phone when I asked her for the # of points used (which I ALWAYS do). She cancelled that one and rebooked and then when I got the confirmations at home I got the BCV one first and the BWV one next. And the BWV was still wrong with no medical reasons noted and no request noted. She was the once in a while MS person who acted like I was imposing on her day. I wish I was randomly chosen for a survey on that one!

Ok, I confess. I don't know what Village Green is. Please clue me in!

As for golf views at Boardwalk, there is a *big* golf ball over at Epcot! Maybe you will be able to see that from your room!
