Background: I have a license plate that reads DVCBDWK. Everyone asks me what it means, and I have a fun time explaining it.
So today I was headed to the mall when I stop at a traffic light. Next to me pulls up another car, and the man driving starts motioning for me to roll down my window. Immediately, there are two things weird with this situation: 1) I'm driving on a 2-lane road, and he pulls up in the shoulder next to me; 2) the driver looks spookily like a friend of mine that lives in FL.
Thinking I have a flat tire or something, I roll down the window. He says 'I'm a DVC member at Old Key West, and I just wanted to say hi to my Florida neighbor!' I told him that nobody ever understood my license plate, and it was great to meet somebody that could decipher it. His response was something to the effect of 'why would people have trouble understanding it? It's so obvious!' With that I nearly start laughing, but the timing couldn't be better, as the light turned green. He waved me on, and said 'DVC - good times! Enjoy your next vacation!' He then got back on the road behind me.
That really put a smile on my face. If the guy that pulled up next to me is reading this, hello!
