Funny Conversation with a 3 year old

This is my first thread on this board, but I thought it might give some of you a chuckle. Here is a funny conversation I had with my DS3 yesterday.

Background:
We are taking DS3 to Walt Disney World next fall, and to prepare him to meet the characters, I have started Disney "training". I tell him the stories of classic Disney movies in the car, and I teach him the songs that go along with them.

Yesterday, I was finishing up the story of Brer Fox and Brer Rabbit with a rousing version of "Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah."

DS3: "Momma, you HAVE to stop singing that song right now."
I was surprised, because my rousing version of "Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah" is usually quite a hit with the backseat crowd.

Momma: "Why?"

DS3: "That song is freaking me around."

Momma: "It's WHAT?"

DS3: "It's freaking me around! I'm freaking around!"

Momma: "Do you mean, freaking OUT?"

DS3: "Yes. Tell the story of Black Sam instead."

Momma: "Black Sam?"

DS3: "Yes, Black Sam."

Momma: "I don't know a story about Black Sam."
I have never told him the story of Little Black Sambo, and that was the only thing I could think of that sounded like Black Sam. Plus, I'm quite sure Little Black Sambo is NOT a Disney classic cartoon.

DS3: "You know, with the pirates and crocodile."

Momma: "Do you mean PETER PAN?"

DS3: "Yes! Black Sam. Black Sam doesn't freak me around."

There you go! Black Sam doesn't freak him around. I laughed and laughed at that one!

Aren't they so cute at that age? I just love the stuff they come out with.
We brought our son on his first flight at age 4. While we were waiting in the busy departure lounge, he said, at the top of his cute little voice "I hope the plane doesn't cra-ash!!!!" That went down real well with the other passengers I can tell you!

DH called me yesterday to tell me about a cute thing our 2YO DS did... he had some root beer in a sippy cup which wis fizzing audibly. DW commented that the soda was "talking to him."
He then looked at the cup and said (to the cup, not to DW) "What? Oh yeah!" Sorry I missed it. They're so cute at this age.

They are great especially when they get going in the backseat! DD 3 didn't get a smile when she requested a baby this week, "but Mom I'm all growed up we need a baby" and "I promise I'll babysit!" Then "Maybe a dog?"Where do they get this at 3?

The funniest car conversation I had was recently this:

Mom - I really want to go to to to..................you know that place right there for a donut - Honkey King!

Poor kid, couldn't think of Krispey Kreme and it came out Honkey King! Me and my husband laughed so hard!!! It shall forever be known as Honkey King in our house hold. Don't tell him I told you all this story though because he is mortified everytime we bring it up!!!

That is cute.

When my son was that age he once wedged a plastic hanger on his head. When I asked why, he replied "I'm You-can-fly". At my puzzled look he burst into song . . . "You can fly, you can fly, you can fly!" He was Peter Pan. I went out that day to buy fabric and make a real "You-can-fly" hat for him. He's 16 and he still has that silly hat in his closet. He says he may have a little Peter Pan someday who needs it. Hopefully not for a while.

Well this was long ago ( my DD is 17 and Senior this year )
When she was around 3 we went to the pet store and my best friend was with us . She asked him what kind of kitty that was in the cage.
He told her it was a Himalayan. She very quickly replied " No David him not a layin him is standing"
We still torture her with this story every chance we get . Much fun ....much much fun !
