It just sorta popped into my head and made me laugh...

We went to Hollywood Studios last year and my husband had gone ahead of me to put our belongings into a locker..he met up with me and we did the rides, etc..anyways on our way back I was too busy looking around to notice that I walked into and tripped over a huge fire hydrant...geesh, I hit it so hard that I left the print of the bolt into my knee and made the bell on the hydrant "ding"....only for a shopping bag that I held in my hand I would have did a face plant on the concrete..

Oh of course, all I heard from behind me was "oooooooooo" and "gasps" as I hit this hydrant..(I didn't realize that all these people had seen me fall...how embarrassing is that!!!) needless to say I quickly picked myself up and reacted as if absolutely "NOTHING" was wrong, trying not to limp...meanwhile I am just about to cry with pain..

When I go back, I am taking a picture of that fire hydrant!!!

On our first trip to WDW in 1994, my family (3 kids, dh) and I were in Epcot right outside the Japan pavilion. I was wearing a very nice brand new t-shirt. All of a sudden, right out of the bright blue sky, something splatted right onto my t-shirt. It was big and my first thought was that someone must have thrown a mudball at me or something. :scared1:When sanity prevailed, I realized that some big big bird - think albatross - must have relieved himself and it hit me, right on my shoulder!! My DH and 3 kids went into hysterics laughing :lmao::lmao::lmao:. I was just furious, especially BECAUSE they were laughing so hard. :mad:I went into the washroom, tried to wipe it off my shirt and realized that it was a lost cause. I finally whipped off my t-shirt and washed the whole thing out in the sink and put it back on sopping wet. I am just now, 15 years later, beginning to see the humour in this.

But everytime we get near the Japanese pavilion, I can't help but sneak a peek up into the sky!;)

Same kind of thing...Bird poop but it landed on my hand and katdb and wenabre were laughing...I was gagging.

:lmao:

About three years ago we travelled to Disney with a friend and her 3 boys. So there was us (me and my sister, mom and boy 1,2,3) So we rented a van for the week. Well after a day at Magic Kingdom we go back to what we think is our van. All pile in and the younger one goes, "where did this ball come from?" So we quickly realized that the van we were in wasn't the one we rented. So sis has all their maps in her hand, placed them on the dash, and we dashed out of there. We found "our" van about two rows up. To this day the boys will talk about this every so often. LOL:lmao::lmao::lmao:

We went to MGM (as it was then) a few years ago with the kids. My hair is red and shoulder-length. We all 4 of us had on the red t-shirts with the Incredibles logo you could buy at the Disney store a few years ago. We had breakfast at the...what is it, Play and Dine? character breakfast. One little girl was convinced I was Mrs Incredible. She asked me, and didn't really believe me when I said no. She followed me around for the rest of the meal, I think she wanted my autograph. :rotfl: Made my day, ElastiGirl is my hero. (And when I did meet her later, she was very flattered when dh told her I dyed my hair to be more like her!)

When I was a kid we drove to Disney every couple of years from New Jersey or Connecticut (depending on where we lived at the time). We would take 3 days to drive down, taking small side trips on the way.

One time we passed a van with "The Buckers" written on the side. We saw this van in a bunch of different states (randomly as we drove there). We didn't see it again on the last day of our drive down. The first day we drove over to the Magic Kindgom in order to start our trip and randomly, we ended up parked next to the van. It was pretty amazing, especially because it was Christmas week and the park and the parking lot were both JAM PACKED.

My brother and I still look for the van when we are at Disney together.

Several years ago, while my DH and DSs rode TOT again and again, I sat down in the theatre to watch Beauty and the Beast. As I was sitting there waiting for the show to start, a family came in and sat right down in front of me in the next row. I kept looking and thinking it couldn't be so, but when I tapped the guy on the shoulder it was someone from work. ( I live in Canada). I don't know who was more surprised him or me! Same trip on the way back, we stopped at a rest stop in the Carolinas and low and behold, met a different work colleague who was also on his way home to Ontario. He and his family had been at WDW and we hadn't realized we were both vacationing in the same place. Too Spooky!

Somedays you can't get away from work, it just follows you! :scared1:

I too had a bird happening at AK.....we were in the enclosed bird exibit (Pangani ???) and I got it right on the top of my head. My kids laughed so hard and my youngest still mentions it everytime we are there. I wasn't really bothered by it but if I had to see it or clean it I would have been grossed out.

A few years ago, when "walkie-talkies" were all the rage and families communicated with each other in the parks, we took ours to WDW ::yes::

My DH, DD & DS had gone on Rock n Roller coaster.

I had decided to go to the ladies room, but forgot to turn my walkie-talkie off :rolleyes1

I thought my family were going to be a while waiting to ride the ride.

Just as I closed the cubicle door, my DH starts to talk to me via the walkie-talkie.

He says "Carol......where are you?"

Outside the cubicle, I hear a woman saying.....OMG... there's a man in here :scared1:

I tried to whisper to him to wait and I'd see him soon!

He didn't hear me and again says .."Carol....where are you?"

I couldn't get out of the Ladies room quick enough :rolleyes1

My family still laughs about the "Man in the Ladies room" ;)
