I'm looking for suggestions for family poses at the MK. For example, one I read about was having everyone turn around and have the Photopass photographer take a picture of you all looking up at Cinderella's castle. Or all jumping in the air at the same time.

Looking for all crazy, funny, sweet ideas!! For once Mom gets to be in the pics too!!!!!!!!!!!!

Might I suggest the Rose Garden for that photo? Even on a busy park day it can look like a private view. :)

Was that taken by a Photopass Photographer??? It's GORGEOUS! Thanks for sharing!!

Beautiful! My middle daughter is loving the pink Cinderella dress, which is her favorite and you rarely see anyone in it. :thumbsup2

Thank you! Tell her I'm impressed she knew who it was from behind. :thumbsup2

On our last day at MK we always take a picture of our kids all making sad faces by the signs that say 'See ya real soon' as you exit...

That is a stunning pic:)

This is really pretty!

Thank you. ;) I really do love photos from behind. I did the last page of one of my trip scrapbooks from photos from behind titled "We'll be back."

OP, not sure if you have little kids, but I have seen photos from behind with a little one wearing mouse ears sitting on dad's shoulders pointing at the castle. Mine were too old by the time I saw that. Hopefully someone else can take advantage of the idea.

Here's one my son took.

Also tried to take one that looked like one of the kids was trying to push it over onto the other, but they got tired of me telling them where to move & walked away.:rotfl2:

OP here: yup, mine are almost 5 and almost 3 (the littlest one is a girl with long pigtails). I definitely want to do the daddy shoulder one so it matches the one I have w/my daddy from the late 70s! Would it make sense to order Mickey ears for the family ahead of time? I've heard of people using "props" in their pictures. Could be fun!

I would consider buying ears from Disneystore.com online before leaving home. Then you can take photos from behind as you enter the park for the very first time.

This is from DL, but gives you an idea of the effect. I love seeing the names from behind.

I love the gardens at the front - we got to MK early one morning and I got this (another back shot!)

ETA: My girls will have the Pink and Blue Cinderella dresses for our trip next week! I will have to come back and post a picture - they aren't nearly as beautiful as the ones above - but I made them myself!

Wow, what a terrific picture! How fun for your girls to wear princess dresses into MK. DD17 would love to do this but I thought older kids and adults could only wear them during MNSSHP (so they're not misidentified as a CM)?

Yeah, your 17 year old could not wear a costume to the parks. But have you looked into Disneybounding? (Wearing regular clothes that evoke a similar look as the costume would- google it.) It's fun for teens. My DDs found out about it last year, and while we haven't done it, they have made plenty of Disneybounding outfit ideas on polyvore.

My daughter and her friend were newly 12 when that photo was taken. So not mature enough looking to be mistaken for the real thing. They got nothing but very positive cast member interaction. But they also did not keep the gallons on the entire day.

Always going against the grain, we did a "knocked out at MK" picture last year. We found a PP photog on main st as we were leaving at about 1am. My son was passed out in the stroller, my daughters hair was falling out, I was a sweaty mess, my wife...well she always looks good. We both put our arms on the strollers and she put her head on my shoulder and we all have a tied, grumpy, pouty look.

Can't wait to take it again this year.
