Hi everyone

I'm just so happy right now. We have our wedding date!!!!!!!

I seem to have been waiting for this moment for ages and finally we are a year out and I can book.

My request was sent by Virgin Holidays yesterday and they have emailed me today with confirmation.

David and I are getting married at Sunset Pointe on November 30th 2007 at 2.30pm

We can start to really plan now as we should receive our wedding pack early next week.

I really need to get back to the dress hunting now, I have seen a few more that I want to try on but our local stockist don't have the designs I like. Luckily a store has opened in London so hopefully I will be taking a trip there between Christmas and New Year.

I will add more to my planning journal as soon as I can

We wanted to get married at Sunset Pointe in May but it is only available for certain months.

You are probably really exciting, I know we were when we booked the date.

Our wedding pack arrived this morning and eventhough I though I knew what I wanted I clearly didn't have a clue. I had the location and dinner covered but forgot about flowers and music, there is so much choice.

My Fiance went to visit his parents last night so I can't wait for him to get home so that we can go through it together. I know we don't have to choose right now but I'm so excited that I keep reading everything.

This is what we have in mind so far:

30 Nov 07
Breakfast at Cinderella's Royal Table
Wedding at Sunset Pointe at 2.30pm
Depending on the time of Wishes a Wishes Cruise either before or after dinner
Dinner at O'Hanas

There will be 8 of us in total so it really will be intimate.

If any of you have any thought on music I would love to hear them

8 is a great amount, we thought it would just be us and our two sets of parents so we thought an intimate wedding through Virgin but now we have over 20 that want to come with us so we have to have a custom wedding which means even more decisions and I'm finding it hard to choose things now so with a custom wedding its going to be even harder!

Recessional - 'Can you feel the love tonight'
Reception/First Dance - 'Candle on the water'

The only one that I'm a little unsure about is 'can you feel the love tonight' as I was going to write the words for each song on the order of service. If you have any ideas of an alternative please let me know.

I'm hoping to get better pictures when I go for my fitting.

My fiance, David, is having a black suit with a light pink vest and cravat. We've also chosen the french style flowers in light and medium pink.

I'm just starting to think about welcome bags and few other bits and pieces but don't really know where to start. I have bought some chinese fans for the ladies in our group. We haven't really thought what to buy the guys.

Rings are also on the to do list.

I can't believe it's only 7 months away, time really is flying.

Bette Midlers "the rose"??

My best friend growing up always turned on that song and would walk to it as if she was walkign down the isle with her dad. I havent spoken to her in years. I saw in the paper where she had gotten married so I sent a card to her parents house (i know her dad still lives there)-- and shared some mushy memories but mainly asked her if she walked down the isle to "the rose" by bette midler-- i can remember that like it was yesterday! Sometimes I wish I could shake some of those memories, ya know?

Its been 4 months and I still havent gotten a response from her-- I'll probobly always think of her when someone mentions that song!

Bette Midlers version of the song is beautiful. I hadn't heard it but whilst talking it over we listened to it on the net and it just worked, I got goose bumps. As we are having an intimate it will be played on the violin but I've printed the words and will put them in the order of service.
