Funnel Cake

Actually, I lived in NY/CT area for 34 years before moving to FL and they are very popular there at fairs and on Boardwalks. I now live in SW Fl 20 years, Lee County to be exact and there aren't very many places to get a Funnel Cake here :confused3 So when you speak for them new to those from the north and having them here in the south, that doesn't hold true for me.. ;) very much the opposite it seems....:goodvibes I get my Funnel Cakes in Disney.. :thumbsup2 and now they have a yummy Pumpkin flavored one for the Holiday season....:goodvibes
The person you're responding to there hasn't posted since 2008.

This thread is 5 or 6 years old and bumped by the OP.

Disney funnel cakes are hit or miss. It seems they always over-cook or under-cook them.

A poorly cooked funnel cake is still a treat, but for what they charge, they ought to cook them well.

And if I remember correctly, the funnel cake stand at the American Pavilion does NOT participate in the dining plan, so you can't use a snack credit there - cash only. Not sure why:confused3

Funnel cakes know no boundaries of time or space...

Funnel cakes are sensitive to over- or under-cooking. But I agree with your assessment -- for $6+, they need to be PERFECT.

Here is the current menu info for funnel cakes at the Sleepy Hollow snack shop in the Magic Kingdom.

Funnel Cake - Dusted with powdered sugar or cinnamon $4.29 OR Topped with strawberries and whipped cream $5.29

I would also like to mention that there are tables right there to sit and eat your funnel cake. This is an excellent place to watch the castle lighting at Christmas time. This is also an excellent place to sit and watch the parade. There is usually a cast member right here who will close off the walkway before the parade. They are often passing out hula hoops for the kids, so they have something to do while they wait. And it's nice to have a CM there in case you have any questions. :cheer2:

Here's a link to a post from my November trip report -- just shows all the hula-hooping kids outside Sleepy Hollow.
