Just wondering, how clubs at your school fundraise?

The clubs at our school, like HOSA or DECA, usually fundraise by selling boxes of candy, car wash tickets, krispy kreme donuts, and a few months ago we sold smencils! (smelly pencils; flavors included, orange, raspberry, cinnamon, bubble gum ;))

I hate selling candy because it takes awhile to sell just one box and kids at school don't want the same old candy that comes in every box...

Any sucessful fundraising at your schools?

I hate fundraisers. I hate having to peddle around items asking people to buy them. That said, I ALWAYS buy from the Krispy Kreme kids. Those things make my knees into jello. <3 They're starting that fundraiser next week, I CAN'T WAIT!!

So far this year, HOSA has tried us to peddle Gertrude Hawk *YUCK* and some little trinket catalog or something.

I know the basketball teams just sold coffee
Not school related but still, my dance team does basket raffles at recitals like last weekend and we make loads of money off of these.
The German class does one of those catalogs I know.
The French club sells coupon books I would know since I just got don't with them :P.
I hate fundraisers, having to try to sell random stuff to people drives me crazy.

We suck at it so bad.
We just sold wreaths and it was the biggest joke ever, like nobody bought them. They were also the saddest looking wreaths ever.

We did one last year for an end of the year one, where if you paid 100 dollars (or fundraised it) you could stay at school overnight for a big party. Well, nobody was particularly hyped up about it, and it kind of sounded lame. There's like 1000 kids in our school, so we could have made a crapload of money if everyone went, but like only 200 people went.

I hate fundraisers. I have to do like 5 of them all at once, and once you sell to people for one thing, there is nobody left to sell your other things to.

We sell cookie dough, candles, cutlery stuff, magazines, tickets for a drawing.
Lame stuff. Seriously, the same thing every year. Nobody wants any of it.

My son is in elementary school so we don't have any clubs to raise $$$ for.

They ask each parent for $50-$75 per child at the beginning of the year through the PTA. It is wonderful-you can of course ask grandparents and companies to help, but there is no selling of cookie dough or gift wrap or anything like that. :cool1:

We do other fundraisers like asking for donations at the family movie night or at the ice cream social, and there is a silent auction at the end of the year. But nothing that comes home and we have to sell.

i hate fundraisers.
all through junior high, the science department tried to get us to sell magazines to raise money. it failed. every year.
the music/theater department at the junior high i went to makes us sell cookie dough every year. the dept. head usually bought 8 or so tubs for himself. i never sold many, but half the school did it, so it raised alot of money.

We have done candy(not that great $50 bars for $25 towards trip better then some though) the cookie dough/pizzas, and the gift wrap.

I thought my fundraiser days were over since im homeschooled but I am now going to Europe in 2011 with girl scouts so we will be doing tons of fundraisers so we dont have to pay for anything but spending money
