Fun things to do with a four year old dd?

We are going to celebrate dd fourth b'day towards the end of Jan. We were last there Nov.05. At this age, their interests and abilities grow by leaps and bounds, so I'm always on the look out for something new and age appropriate. I think we'll do Kidcot this time (it'll be our first).

We will also be doing the Pirate and Princess party, lunch at Askershus (which we did last time) and breakfast at Ohana's (also a second time for us).

Can anyone suggest activities that would appeal to a four year old?
TIA!

Make sure and get the birthday pin from Town Hall at MK! Have her wear it the whole time you are there! Make sure that everyone at WDW knows that it's your dd's b-day! People (cast members and guests) go out of their way to say "happy b-day" and CM's give little trinkets (balloons, once we got a stuffed animal, stickers, etc.)!

My DD5 likes kidcot and anything hands on (imagination pavillion, innovations,etc.). Let her make some decisions on what you do while at the parks --- my dd loves being the map person and giving us directions. She likes it when she's in charge.

Don't forget to see the candy lady at the Japan pavillion! She is sooooo cool! When my dd was 4 she was picked to receive a candy animal. It made her day!

Good luck!

Dress her like a princess, have photopass take pictures of her in front of the castle lit up at night. While waiting for Spectro, this was very popular with many people. The waiting parade watchers were applauding the little princess and tinks that were getting their pictures taken. The photographer was very cute with each child. The adult couples getting their pictures taken were very funny too. We just sat on the curb eating icecream and drinking coffee watching.

I would take her to the Bippity Boppity Boutique!

My DD(4) has an appointment for next Thursday at 2pm. She is sooooo looking forward to this. I think any 4 year old would love this.

What is the Bipity Bopity Boutique? Is that where they can get their hair cut? All these ideas are great. Thanks so much for the suggestions!

I'm wondering if I can get one of those b-day pins though my b-day will be a week after we leave WDW. The trip to WDW will be a birthday present for me.

We'll be celebrating our DD4's b-day as well on our next family trip. We're planning to do BBB, a spin around the lagoon on the Sea Racers, CRT, and the Family Magic Tour. We're looking forward to all of these activities and I know she'll love every one.

When we went in Jan., DD was 4 and the BBB was not open yet. We took her and DS2 to the Barber Shop on Main Street and they styled her hair and put lots of Pixie Dust in it for $5. DS had his hair cut and it was around $15. We also splurged (or I should say Nana and Papa splurged) and took her to the Perfectly Princess Tea at the GF with Princess Aurora. I have to say it was magical and she loved every minute!

I guess I have no idea where/what BBB is, I thought it was the barber shop. Another poster mentioned you can make an appointment. What number do you use for that? Thanks!

The BBB is a salon in Dowtown Disney. You can choose packages that include hair styling, nails and makeup. They also sell princess dresses there and I believe they do a photo shoot after your princess is finished. I have not been there, but I have seen some great photos here in the DIS.

Thanks for the clarification. I had no idea there was such a place in DD. I will defintately look into it.

The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in DTD is definetly a great place. We took our dd a few days after her 4th birthday and it was the highlight of the tip for her.

Try to book for the same day that you are having lunch or dinner with the princesses.

They sell the beautiful princess dresses, but will thing nothing about you dressing dd in a princess dress brought for home.

The fairy godmothers in training do the girls hair, nails and makeup (really light, you can´t really see it TG!), and then you go to the photo studio and they will take a ton of pictures that you can put on your photopass.

The Campfire Sing-Along with Chip & Dale over at the Fort Wilderness Campground is a lot of fun. And depending on the movie thye're showing, she might enjoy that too. She might enjoy a pony ride:http://www.buildabettermousetrip.com/activity-campfire.html

What about a surrey bike ride - my daughter absolutely loved this. We did it at the Boardwalk during the evening.

We don't get to go out on boats often so my daughter absolutely loved the Sea Racers - we did that at Downtown Disney.

Here's a link with info about Bibbidi bobbbidi Boutique - http://www.buildabettermousetrip.com/activity-bbb.html

I think the Chip and Dale sing-a-long would be perfect for our first night! We get to the airport at 4pm (I'm hoping we'll be at the hotel around 5:30'ish we're taking the Magic Express to ASMu). Obviously, we did not plan to go into a park that day. I had been thinking DD, but the campfire sounds like a great activity. It's also quite reasonable...how did that happen? :confused3
