Fun things to do when it's cool

Of course, we leave tommorrow and it's suppose to be in the low 70's and rain for the next 5 days. We had only planned to go to a park 1 day and relax by the pool enjoying our first trip as DVC memebers. Any ideas for indoor things to do at WDW and surrounding areas besides the movies?

When we went one December, we got two days of torrential rain. Non stop. And in the 70s. Ugh.

What we did: saw Cirque de Soleil...visited Disney Quest...saw the movie "Stuart Little"...went to the Belz outlet mall to shop (there's LOTS of stores)...and went to visit some of the other resorts, to see what they were like.

Tip: I'm told that you can find the water parks all but deserted after a rainstorm -- if the weather is warm enough, of course.

Then, of course, there's always good ole Epcot, with more indoor attractions than anywhere else. Pack a poncho and umbrella. And have fun anyway!

Have poncho, will park-hop! Rain reduces crowds, can be a plus as long as it is not a constant downpour. Most Florida rains can be hard, but usually short.

Well, may be not really a plus, but not as big of a minus as one would think.

it rained for 3 of our 4 day trip to WDW last month. The temperature was in the 50s and 60s. We did everything that we would have if the weather had been sunny and 80 (except no water parks-I did see people, not us, in the pools too). The lines are shorter when it rains. Put on those rain ponchos and enjoy!

We got rained on THREE out of our four days last week!

I say grab a .50cent poncho from Walmart and keep moving! DISNEY ponchos are $6 and that adds up if there are a lot of you. Not to mention EVERYONE buys the Mickey poncho!

Anyway, we found that the Tomorrowland Transit authority is a nice break if it rains. Also, you can do any number of shows in the rain at any of the parks.

Food is a good idea if it rains. But I say STAY OUT OF THE SHOPS when it rains!!! You'll buy more than you intended.

Oh, and a really cool hint for MK if it rains is the camera shop! Inside is a mini theater that shows Disney Cartoons! It's WAY in the back and is a best kept secret, IMO
