Can anyone recommend particularly fun kid desserts at WDW? I remember this peanut butter fudgey stuff at the Rose and Crown. It came with pretzels and stuff for the kids to "play with their food" before they ate it. Any other special treats?

Thanks,

NB

Chef Mickey's has a "create your own cupcake" station. My son loved that!

Coral Reef has peanut butter playdoh :) also a build your own sundae.

Le Cellier has a unusual "Fireside Smores" but my daughter was not thrilled with it. She did love the smores at Primetime cafe though :)

cass, what exactly is the peanut butter playdoh - a pudding? we're going w/ our almost 3yo DD for lunch at Coral Reef. from what i read, i think i'm getting the Chocolate Wave to share.

At the Princess Breakfast in Norway the gave my dd a white chocolate puzzle with candy "paint". She loved it.

I don't think that they have the peanut butter playgough at Coral Reef any longer. DS had it once and had a ball with it but would not eat it. It taste like peanut butter cookie dough! YUMM. He really liked the make your own sundee at Prime Time too.

We made a last min. change last year and went to Norway for dinner. Wern't sure what the kids would think, but they loved it. The highlight was painting their own elf/nomb(not sure of spelling) cookie for dessert. They worked on them which gave us time to finish our wine and were very proud of the results.

the dole stand is always a must for us - we don't get dessert in mk - but stop at the dole stand for some whips - spears - etc

Wow, thanks for all the replies. Looks like we may have to have dessert for three meals a day during our trip! I saw, on another thread, the white chocolate slippers at GF. My dd13, who certainly acts like a princess (!!) would love one of those. I'll keep an eye on this thread, so new additions are welcome. Our next trip isn't until Sept.

Thanks,
NB

The smores at Prime Time and peanut butter pizza at Chef Mickey's are a hit with my 2 DD's! :flower1:

I remember getting a sundae at cindrella's castle and being very impressed that it had a crown made of chocolate on it! its the little things that make a difference to kids! :)

I'm with you The House of Mouse: O'Hana's Rainbow Snowcone Bucket is the bomb! My kids LOVED it :lovestruc (...and the Mommy and Daddy desserts there rock too!) :flower1:

I am not sure what they made their "playdough" out of, but when I was little, I loved a dough made with peanut butter, sweetened condensed milk, and powdered sugar! I no longer have the exact recipie, but I still make it from time to time and just sort of mix ingredients until I have a nice consistency. Yummy!!!

P.S. I just did some web searching and found several recipies, one of which says it came from a Disney cookbook. The first is that one, and the second is one I found that I think is close to my original from Kindergarten! Enjoy...

Our dd loved her clown ice cream with gummy worms at the ice cream social at the Garden grill.

Citricos has a dessert plate for kids with all the set-ups to make their own sundae; very messy and extremely popular with the little delegation.
