I was browsing through the restaurants on WDWinfo.com and decided to see what restaurants were accepting the dining plan now in case we changed our mind about eating at a different restaurant on arrival day. I noticed that they that Fultons, T-Rex and Rainforest Cafe all showed up after searching as accepting the dining plan now. Is this true? Or is it just an error?

Okay, I'm confused now. On the official Disney website when I go to make reservations at these restaurants it says they are not accepting the dining plan but on the 2012 confirmed dining plans chart on DIS it says that these locations are now accepting the dining plan. Is there somewhere I can call to double check this information and get it from Disney themselves? If these restaurants started accepting the dining plan I would definitely want to change up my ADR's for our week in January.

They are on the 2012 DDP. I would imagine the ADR system just isn't updated yet, and I also don't think the DDP for 2012 is finalized yet either which might be why they aren't updated. I wouldn't expect these new additions to be removed though. In addition to the ones you mentioned, I believe all the DTD restaurants are now on DDP (including Portobello's, Wolfgang Puck: The Dining Room, Paradiso 37, Bongos and QS locations) and also Bistro de Paris at Epcot.

Thanks! I'm going to be updating my ADR's tonight and hopefully I don't get told that the restaurants don't accept the dining plan when I get there ;) I'm really looking forward to trying out Portabello's! It's very awesome that they have added all the downtown restaurants to the list because I always wanted to try some of them but we always use the dining plan so it wasn't an option.

This is the 2nd piece of good news I've read on the restaurants board. Now I'm really getting excited about August.

I don't want to crush anyone's hopes, but in the past Rainforest Cafe was available for the most expensive and flexible Dining Plans- Deluxe and Platinum. For the Quick Dining and what is called the Disney Dining Plan- which is what most people get I beleive- it is not covered. I would guess TRex and Rainforest are still this way. We did eat at Cap'n Jacks last time- it was ok, but nothing great.

It is new for 2012 and it is covered on the regular dining plan as noted in the link in the email above. You can also read more info here

We just may be trying the DDP next trip and have always wanted to try Rainforest Cafe! That's great news!

Oh wow! Might be changing our ADRs then. We paid out of pocket last time for T-Rex. I don't think I would do that again, but if its on DDP then its worth it for us!

It's been added to the regular DDP for 2012, as well as most other DTD restaurants. See the latest 2012 DDP brochure with these updates here:

They are not covered by the Regular and Deluxe DDP now, but will be in 2012. These restaurants are listed on the 2012 Dining Plan brochure.

Nope, it's been confirmed that they will be included in the 2012 DDP! Yay! I am so excited, as we always end up paying out-of-pocket for either T-Rex or Rainforest each trip! Can't wait!
