Fultons now on dinging plan???

I was just searching to change a ressie for our december trip and I noticed that Fultons comes up on the list of restaurants. I know it was never on the dining plan before but I checked to only show dining plan restaurants and when you click it the little pop up says it does accept the dining plan. Is this a change or did someone make an error

It appears as though it is now a signature dining restaurant from what I am reading. Perhaps they realized with free dining running most of the year they have no choice

Sorry, no. Fulton's is not on the dining plan. It accepts only the premium and platinum package plans, which the Disney website lumps in with the dining plans, which is why the website makes it look like they take the dining plan.

Fulton's is in fact the only restaurant at WDW to ever drop participation in the dining plan. They participated in 2005. In 2006 they cut back to taking only the premium and platinum plans.

I made a reservation for Fulton's and they said it wasn't on the dining plan.

That's because the restaurants that are not run by Disney are not on the list for 2012 yet. They won't be added until their contracts for 2012 are finalized (probably December). Cap'n Jack's is the only sitdown restaurant at DTD that is operated by Disney. The only counterservice Disney operates at DTD is inside Disney Quest.

There are a number of non-Disney-operated restaurants listed on the Disney website. Not all of them take the dining plan. Don't assume that because a restaurant is on the website, it will take the dining plan. All the Swan/Dolphin restaurants are listed - none of them have ever accepted the plan.
