Any or many bad experiences here recently? I just read 1 thread in the wedding forum where the bride really didn't like the service there.

I currently have an ADR there for our 30th anniversary. Might have to change it.

Hi,

Congratulations on 30 years!

If the menu appeals to you, why not give it a try? Don't worry about what other people say!

Having said that...we've been married almost 28 years, and if we were going to WDW for our 30th, we'd go to one of the finer signature restaurants. I'm not trying to tell you what to do, maybe Fulton's is exactly what you are looking for. That's why I said: if you think you'll like it, go for it!

I picked Fulton's because of the lobster. Wife is very picky and that is one thing she consistently likes.

Thanks Bob.

I agree with Bob P. If you like it, go for it. Some of our favorite restaurants are not DIS favorites. I tend to agree that maybe a finer dining establishment to celebrate your big day might be more appropriate as Fulton's is a busier place, but that being said we've eaten there twice. Both times the food was great - once the service was good and the other time it wasn't. However, we're going back next year and looking forward to it. If you are interested in the menu, go for it!

Other seafood places that might offer a more luxurious environment are Flying Fish or bluezoo at the Dolphin. The other signature restaurants on property are California Grill, Artist Point, Yachtsman Steakhouse, Hollywood Brown Derby, Jiko, Citricos, and Narcoossee's. (Am I forgetting one?)

That being said, if you want to go to Fulton's, go and enjoy! I do enjoy it and think you will have a great time if you go. Go in open-minded and looking for positives and that will help any dining experience, even at the fancy places!

Dh and I have been to Fulton's on both out trips this year and really enjoyed it. We went in March for my birthday, requested a window seat and booked our ADR so we could watch the sunset over the small lake at DTD. We had a romantic dinner and great food. We also took my parents there this past October and they loved it.

PS. for a nice romantic atmosphere and lobster.....we also love Narcosees and Shula's. Congrats on your upcoming anniversary. We were at WDW for our 25th a couple of years ago and plan to be there for our 30th in the future.
We have been to many of the signature rest. at WDW and while they are all fantastic.........for my 30th.....I want to sit on the beach at the Poly, with a bottle of wine, to watch Wishes. and/or renew our vows at the gazabo at the Poly. ( yeah, I know...kind of mushy romantic, but a girl can dream can't she??)

Narcoosee's has better lobster by far (and better service and better everything else, IMHO). More romantic too.

Whatever you decide, congrats! :thumbsup2

See, I would disagree. We did not have good lobster at Narcoossee's.

But, that's sort of the point of the advice given in the first few posts and the one I quoted above. One man's :confused3 is another man's :cloud9:. If you have your heart set on Fulton's, go for it. There will be naysayers for any place at Disney (even Victoria and Alberts I'm sure). Have a great trip!

We also go to Fulton's because we both love their more spicy crab and lobster bisque and me the Seafood Cobb Salad and the wife the crab claws, but it's for a late lunch. But for a special seafood dinner I think Narcoossee's might be nicer and should have just as good food/selections.

I wouldn't go to Fultons for a regular meal, much less an anniversary. There are many , many better spots that you can pick from.
I'm not suprised they could botch the service even at a wedding reception dinner-- service there at our previous meals was simply awful.

I've eaten at Fulton's several times, and have never had problems with the service, and the food is has always been very good. YMMV.

 I loved Fulton's. The food was yummy. Very pleasant atmosphere. I didn't get lobster, but the crablegs were great!

A big serving of NOT!!!

By far and away the worst TS meal that we have ever had in all of the world. As abhorid as the food was from nearly start to finish, so was the service. At best, I limped out of there (literally as I was on cane/ecv power that week) with a marginally reduced bill and vowed never to return.

Red Lobster would have been far better that night.

Pick someplace else. Food & service at Fulton's leaves much to be desired. There are lots of better places to go.

Just got off the phone with MS, changed to Narcoossee's. Mostly because I talked to a lady at Fulton's about setting up something special for the wife and she wasn't any help at all.

Sorry to hear you won't be going to Fultons. I have always had good food and good service there. DH and I try to get to Fultons each visit. I agree with the suggestion of a later lunch, if you just want to try the place. Many dinner menu items are available at lunch time, if you just ask. But if you are looking for a more quiet romantic type dinner, then you may be happier elsewhere. I mainly go to Fultons for the fabulous crab claws (oh they are wonderful). So atmosphere or special occasion dining are usually not on my mind when I eat there. I am just busy with the claws. BTW, they have a great bisque also.

For our 30th wedding anniversary, DH and I chose to dine at Shula's in the Dolphin. Everything there was excellent.

We've always had good food at Fulton's, but it's not very romantic.

Make sure you follow up on your special request with the restaurant (probably the manager would be best) I would definitely check the day of the event. It would be awful for it to get lost in the shuffle on this special day! Hope you guys have a magical evening.

Good move. Narcoossee's is a good take.

Good old Fultons--poor service even bEFORE you show up!
I think you'll be much better off at Narcoossee's.

yeah their unwillingness to go a bit out of their way really changed my mind. That and they wanted 100.00 for a small personalized cake.

Good choice on Narcoosees! They do special occasions well. I went there to celebrate my graduation from law school. We had not set any thing special up in advance. But when we were seated our served asked if it was a special occasion. My mom volunteered that we were celebrating my graduation. Our served gushed congratulations and then came back with complementary champagne. He was always attentive and returned often to make sure we were having a great time. When we couldn't decide which dessert to split he brought us both and said that one was on the house for the same reason. It was just a great experience all around. Even without the free stuff, it was just a magical, relaxing night. Good service makes all the difference!

So, nice choice! Enjoy!:thumbsup2
