Fulton's Crab House not on the DDP?

Just booked my trip for Oct. 08 and was starting to get a list of restaurants we wanted to eat at and the Crab House is a must for us. Its the only place I found in Disney that serves King Crab Claws. I was wondering if anyone know why they are not on the DDP anymore and if there is any other place to get king crab claws at?

Have they ever been part of the dining plan? They certainly weren't when we visited in April and again in October.

Fulton's has not been on the DDP for at least the last three years. We have always had to pay for it OOP. I don't know if it ever was on the current incarnations of the DDP since it is not a Disney owned restaurant, but it may have been on some of the other dining programs from pre-2004/2005.

When we were down there in Oct. 01 for our HM it was. The last time we went on Dec.05/Jan. 06 we did not use the DDP.

The current DDP is not the same type of program that was in effect in 2001. I never used the old dining programs, many on the DIS have related stories about previous dining programs in comparison to the DDP.

1) DDP does not give a large enough reimbursement.
2) There are many eateries not on DDP - especially at DTD.

I do know that Fultons is a chain (one near my mom in Naples)-not sure if that has anything to do with it not being on DDP....

But to answer your other question, I started a post last week in search of WDW king crab legs (can't find the post now, but it's somewhere on this restaurant board!)

Only other restaurant I was told has them is Coral Reef. I'm unsure if they are any good there-anyone know?

We have ADR's at Coral Reef, but I'm going to pass on the crab legs b/c I saw a photo of them and they looked pretty wimpy

Yes, Fulton's used to be on the dining plan before the dining plan turned in to what it is today. Premium and Platinum package guests could dine at Fulton's and Portobello up until 2007 when they decided to change it. Too bad.

Fultons is on the Platinum Dining plan for 2008. It is listed in the official brochure from Disney.
