Thank you so much for sharing your trip with us. I read your report from beginning to end. We're taking my niece to Sea World next week, and are going to purchase the All Day Dining. I've read conflicting reports are lines in the restaurants. Did you find it possible to just run in for a quick water or soda? Or was it impossibly crowded. We're visiting on a Friday if that matters at all.

We found it very easy to pop in and pick up waters, especially at the quick serve places like Mango Joes and Seaport Pizza. Voyageurs was probably the busiest, but even it was manageable.

Only once (on the Labour Day Saturday) did we have troubles getting a large table, but that was at high noon. Off-peak times are much less busy.

Food lines moved reasonably quickly. At places like Voyageurs, they have multiple food stations to deal with increased traffic flow. When the lines got long, they opened another food station and diverted guests into both lines.

I just finished off SeaWorld, day 2, if you are interested in reading about it. Check out the last couple of pages of my trip report for all the details.

Have a wonderful visit with your niece!! Its an awesome park, I am sure you will love it :goodvibes .

Edited to add....a big :welcome: to the boards!

Oh dear, now I am going to waste more time at work today reading Day 2! Depending upon who you ask, that is a very good thing.

Thank you for the welcome. I have to say - you all are so nice here. It's very refreshing. I suppose I will make a formal introduction at some point. For now, I will say that I am a native of central Florida who moved to Chicago over ten years ago immediately after I finished grad school. I haven't been to Sea World since 1985. I haven't been to Disney since 1994. I was gifted Disney tickets by one of my customers when I was working at Publix. I still think - If you had wings.... - whenever I think of Disney. That's how long it's been. :)

Than you again for your response and your wonderful trip report. I've had the best time reading all about your experiences in Orlando. The four of you are adorable but that Florida Gator shirt has got to go! Was your husband out of clean clothes that day? :confused3 If so, I will forgive him.

LOL! :rotfl:

It's more of a "when in Rome, do as the Romans do" kinda thing. Isn't Orlando Gators country? Or are you a Seminoles fan? ;)

I love your review of DC. I can not wait to go!!! Thank you for posting all of this

You're welcome! Thanks for reading! :goodvibes

Enjoy your day at Discovery Cove.....I hope you have an amazing time!

I am so glad I read your review because it make me feel like I went with the right choice on the Elite package.

Now when it gets closer to my trip (Sept 2015) I will need advice on Sea World. We have never been. I know I want my kids to see the whales and dolphin shows but other than that I don't know what to do there

Hi there, loved your trip report!

We are thinking of renting a cabana and wondering if there is a map of where they are and also if u have any recommendations of where to ask for?

Thanks so much!

Hi Maggie,

Thanks for the kind compliments! :goodvibes

Which cabana were you inquiring about....the one at Discovery Cove, or the one at Aquatica?

Oh sorry! The ones at Discovery Cove.

No worries! Just wanted to be sure the answer fit the question, lol.

Here's the link to the park map:

The little white-topped squares are the cabanas.

For location? That will depend a lot on personal preference. We have been at the far end of the park, next to the Grand Reef, and near the front of the park, along the Wind Away River. Because we're big fans of the lazy river and Freshwater Oasis, we preferred that location over being adjacent to the Grand Reef. It was quieter and more secluded, and closer to the Laguna Grill as well. Those that prefer snorkelling for a large portion of their day would want to closer to the Grand Reef. And some like being close to the dolphin pool best, so they can watch the dolphin interactions up close.

If this is your first visit, I would just leave it to fate :). I don't think you'll be disappointed no matter where your cabana is! :goodvibes
