Hello,

Is it just me or are the meal plans a little confusing?

For those of you who have used these or who have a better understanding than I do, I'd be grateful if you could help me answer my questions below:

1) I understand that full board vouchers are now 2 x half board vouchers, both identical in value and where they can be used? Is this correct?
2) Does anyone know the face value of full board plus vouchers for adult and child vouchers?
3) I understand these vouchers can be used in all restaurants even if not on the 'plus' list but can be exchanged for the value as long as the difference is paid. Is this correct? For example could we use them at inventions brunch or auberge de cendrillon or even buffalo bills and pay the extra?
4) If you use the vouchers on a counter menu such as Casey's Corner then the total bill would be quite a bit less than the total value of the vouchers, could you give the equivalent value in vouchers, therefore using less vouchers? or does it have to be one per person used in spite of the total value?
5) How does the pause gourmande work?
6) Presumably the vouchers can't be used in rainforest cafe, planet hollywood or earl of sandwich?
7) Do we know as yet if they can be used in Bistrot chez Remy? I assume so...

Sorry for all the questions but there seems to be a lack of definite information on Disney's website and brochures.

I would appreciate all the help I can get from all you experts out there :teacher:

Thanks

K.

Yes
2) Does anyone know the face value of full board plus vouchers for adult and child vouchers? 2 x 33 Euro adult / 15 Euro child
3) I understand these vouchers can be used in all restaurants even if not on the 'plus' list but can be exchanged for the value as long as the difference is paid. Is this correct? For example could we use them at inventions brunch or auberge de cendrillon or even buffalo bills and pay the extra? Yes - were straightforward to use towards cost of a dearer meal. You cannot use more than 1 voucher per person per meal.
4) If you use the vouchers on a counter menu such as Casey's Corner then the total bill would be quite a bit less than the total value of the vouchers, could you give the equivalent value in vouchers, therefore using less vouchers? or does it have to be one per person used in spite of the total value? Have been told here they can't be used at counter service restaurants. We were not allowed to use 1 plus voucher + cash in Lucky Nugget for 2 meals costing 35.98. When I offered 1 voucher the server was adamant that 1 voucher only covered the price of 1 meal so we would have had to pay in full for the other meal. Similarly in Cafe Mickey when we only had mains and drinks but bought a birthday cake our server initially queried payment for a 75 euro bill when I gave 2 plus vouchers + 15 euro but after I counted out the value of the 2 vouchers plus the cash accepted it with a shrug.
5) How does the pause gourmande work? You get 1 voucher each per night stayed which can be used at counter service restaurants for a drink and a snack between 3pm and 7pm only. Different snacks are available at different places.
6) Presumably the vouchers can't be used in rainforest cafe, planet hollywood or earl of sandwich? None of those places accept vouchers
7) Do we know as yet if they can be used in Bistrot chez Remy? I assume so... From what I've read here and on TA BCR is a plus restaurant and will accept the vouchers

Sorry for all the questions but there seems to be a lack of definite information on Disney's website and brochures.

That's really helpful, thanks for the speedy reply! Shame about what happened in Lucky Nugget...I wonder if this is the norm or a cast member being difficult?!

Also are the vouchers dated? I assume not.

You're welcome. :)

No idea - was pretty peeved but we used the vouchers at their full value the day we left in Annettes instead.

Vouchers are dated for your stay rather than the actual days so for us said 22 - 27 June and could be used at any time within those dates. I had several days Pause Gourmande vouchers left the afternoon before we left so went to the New York Sandwich place in the Village where I could get bottled drinks and muffins to take away rather than the dispensed drinks some places gave. We were then able to use them that night and the following morning.

The full board vouchers are not for use at C.S restaurants on the plus plan. They are for table service or buffet restaurants. You can use then cash value in any TS/B but you can't use them as cash value for CS. The vouchers you get for free are half board are CS ones :-) Lucky Nugget is now classed as a CS meal, even though they serve you at your table :-)
