Hello~

Just paid in full for the vacation!! Very excited, leaving June 25. Wondering if anyone has tried the skillet family dining at the Ft. Wilderness Lodge? It's advertised @$21.99 pp, from menu looks very good.
We're staying @the Swan. Looking for suggestions for moderately priced places to eat. We're planning on Planet Hollywood & Rain Forest Cafe. Have made priority seating res. for Planet Hollywood.

I've checked out the Boma menu, Spoodles, Flying Fish. I can always find something on a menu & I enjoy trying new things. The 6 other people I'm traveling w/though... that's another story.

Would love to read where you experts look forward to dining while at Disney! Thank you for your input!
:D

Please try the Cape May Buffet at the Beach Club resort - down the road from your hotel. It is great food with a lot of variety. Nicely themed and wait staff is wonderful!

We really enjoyed the skillet from Whispering Canyon- it was a good deal at $22; the ribs, chicken and biscuits were great! We also loved looking around the Wilderness Lodge and the craziness of the servers at the restaurant. Great fun.

Another thumbs up for the Cape May Cafe- great variety, great service and again I think it was $22 for an all you can eat buffet- lots of seafood, plus chicken, ribs, pasta, prime rib roast, salads, and the dessert bar was so awesome. Again, it was fun looking around the Yacht and Beach Club- we walked over to the Boardwalk while waiting for our PS time.

We also loved yet another all you can eat- 'Ohana at the Poly was so much fun. If you like Asian influenced foods, you will like this. Plus, you may luck out and get a fantastic view of the fireworks like we did! They bring food to your table a you get bread, salad, pork fried rice, mixed veggies, honeyed chicken wings and won tons. Then your server will come around with these skewers of meat and give you as much as you like- when we went there was turkey, steak, shrimp and pork (like chunks of tenderloin). They are marinated in subtle Asian-ee flavors and then you get these awesome dipping sauces to dip them in. And to top it off you get chunks of fresh pineapple to dip in caramel at the end. Delish.

We loved all three of these restaurants for different reasons and I would be hard-pressed to choose my favorite- I liked Wilderness Lodge for the laughs and entertainment for our kids, plus the biscuits were so GREAT, I liked Cape May for the food and being able to relax a little bit, and I liked 'Ohana for the magic of seeing the castle lit up at night and watching the fireworks shoot off while enjoying our delicious dinner. Have fun deciding!

I recently had the skillet at Whispering Canyone Cafe. I think it is a good deal. The ribs and pulled pork were very good. It also came with chicken, sausage, beans and cole slaw. The only part I didn't like was this Beef Stew that reminded me of something that would have come out of a can (think Dinty Moore).

I think even the pickiest eater can find something at Boma. This is also a good deal for the money. Also, try O'hana; also in the $20 per person range.

Another suggestion is Wolfgang Puck Cafe at Downtown Disney. This has a large, moderately priced menu that even the pickest eater in your group should be able to find something. The restaurant serves pizza, pastas, sandwiches, steaks, etc. Tends to be kind of noisy, but I still enjoy it there.

Thanks for the dining suggestions!
Will definitely check out the Poly's Ohana. We all enjoy Asian food, so that would work out well. Plus, I would like to see the Polynesian, have never been there.
The Cape May buffet also sounds like an good option.
Thanks again! :Pinkbounc
