Are Ft. Wilderness cabins usually available at the seven month mark? We are BWV owners, but my brother and his wife do a huge Halloween display staying in their RV every year. We'd like to be able to be there for it, so I'm making reservations at the 11 month mark for BW but would like to change to the cabins when our 7 month comes up. I'm wondering if that will be possible. (We also thought we might change to Wilderness Lodge, but we're still thinking about it.)

At 7 months we were booked at a variety of resorts for Oct 2025. Cabins had some availability when I was looking at 7 months and lots of members were walking. I typically book H/A if available so my availability may be different. I think there was 5 or 6 night availability if I remember and people like me have several desirable options and if you can't get A, you go to B and then C. Rinse and repeat until you get what you want. I find middle of the night the best time so insomniac's unite! After that, I check around 7 am and have a few screens up and nail it at 8 am. If I don't get it I go to the next screen, rinse and repeat. I did have 10 nights at BWV 2025 which I cancelled and rebooked for 9 nights in May 2026. There was never more than 5 or so nights available so it was persistence and stalking that got it.

Don't give up on it. Best of luck! :tink:

That is probably one of the most popular times for owners to switch.

They only have 63 cabins declared into DVC. Good luck!

10/29 and 10/30 are already gone 😬

I wanted To add though as a Boardwalk owner, you may be able to find a FW owner who would be willing to trade points because it’s food and wine season at Epcot :)

I own at CFW and I couldn't even get 10/28 and 10/29... Will try again tomorrow for 10/31 but I'm sure competition will be even more fierce.
Don't forget to put a waitlist in. More inventory will eventually be declared.

No luck this morning. Waitlist will have to be. Tried to book cash and even that is not available at this time. We've gone the last couple of years during the week leading up to Halloween and it was satisfyingly halloweeny, so it'll have to do. Will try again next year.

Worst case is even if you don't get it, you're at Boardwalk during F&W which is a great place to be, and you can just plan on taking an excursion over to see their RV and all the other cool Halloween decor at the campground. I haven't ever stayed there during Halloween - but still go over to see the decorations. MK day is usually best as I can hop the boat to the campground, wander around, then head back to MK by boat. If your friends have a cart, they can pick you up at the boat dock. I'd waitlist when your window opens, hang on to your Boardwalk, and see what happens.

Good Luck at getting a cabin at Halloween. I will tell you that this holiday is the "Super Bowl Season" for the Fort. I am trying to piece together a RV spot for that time. I have managed to secure the Monday through Thursday before Halloween and the Monday through Wednesday after Halloween, and have been checking daily for openings to pop up...

Persistence is key here.
