I made our reservations the other day and no matter what I did I could not get a room for the 6th night of our trip so I gave up on that and just did 5 nights at Port Orleans Riverside and 1 night off disney. I really wanted that 6th night because I have a dining package for the other 5 nights and if we stay off property the last night we are on our own for food that day and the next. So, I checked on the website again out of curiosity and I guess they had a cancellation and now there is an opening for that next night. Is there anyway to get them to put on another night and add another day of dining/?? Will this cost more money??? This is through Disney Travel Company.

I don't know exactly what to tell you other than to call them. I always have a question about something, and calling them has answered so many questions for me. We booked online, but whenever I have made a change I called. Sorry

I recognize your name but I can't place you. When are you going? If it's not immediately, just keep calling them...EVERY DAY...EVERY HOUR. Or as often as you can. There are always cancellations being made and changes in other's schedules. I can't imagine that it would be that difficult to add the extra night...unless you're going soon. Good luck to you!

whew! Everything is fixed after about a half hour on the phone.
Reservations are made....the awesome CM I spoke to added a night at FQ because Riverside was booked for that last night and added dining and everything and there is no extra charge for adding on to your package (I thought there was). The only bad thing is that it cost 50 bucks to cancel our hyatt reservations but I figure it will even out with what we would have spent finding that place, gas, food there (very $$ restaurant there), parking for the parks, etc. I am happy with everything now and I'm very excited about our trip now.

You also might want to keep checking so you don't have to switch resorts..and even check when you check in. :sunny:

Actually I called back and they moved the entire reservation over to POFQ for the whole 6 nights, which is fine with us, much easier than switching hotels. We are just happy everything is set.

We will be there March 18-24.
YAY! :cool1:

Hope not to offend anyone here but I have heard some terrible things about Grosvenor. I read the Trip Advisor reviews obsessively and they never give it a good review.
I don't know if you know this but if you go to www.tripadvisor.com and type Orlando into your search it will come up with a list of hotels, go to the bottom of the list and click "see all hotels" and it will show you all the hotels in Orlando in order of the highest reviews to the lowest. It's a good way to look for hotels and you can sift through tons of reviews.
For instance here are the reviews of POFQ
http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Re...ns_Resort_French_Quarter-Orlando_Florida.html
It is listed as being the 27th highest rated/most popular hotel in Orlando
Grosvenor is #202 out of 280 hotels, if that says anything to you.
For non-disney hotels close to the park I have heard that Hilton in the Disney Resort is the nicest. It is rated #58.
I just really like Trip Advisor and it is a good place to read reviews from real people who have recently stayed at the resort your looking at.

That's the way to go! :thumbsup2

Good for you - You will love the POFQ - we have stayed ther - I love the small feel of the resort - everything is close - the rooms were nice - it was also nice to be on the bus before picking up the people at POR - we always had a seat. You can take the boat to DTD - my husband and I enjoyed laying by the pool with a refreshment while the kids were in the pool.... have a great time - I am glad it all worked out for you
