My dh and I originally booked the Fall Fantasy package which includes hotel and LOS passes. We later decided to bring his little sister and they are trying to charge us 800.00 for seven days. Since she is considered a child in the room, why so much?? Shouldn't it only be the cost of the LOS pass. I have tried several times to explain this to the CM but they keep insisted that she must have her own "package" since we do. Our package isn't inclusive of anything. We should only have to pay extra if she is an adult, right??

We spoke with a CM the other day for over an hour and did not accomplish anything. We finally decided to just buy her a 7 day park hopper but the down side is that we frequent PI, DQ and the waterparks; all of which she will have to pay extra for.

Does anyone understand?? What should I do???

Thanks!!

AE

I assume you have called more than once and talked to different CMs and then asked to speak to a supervisor? You didn't say, but if you haven't I'd start there. CM knowledge level varies alot, plus you can get some who will do anything to help straighten a situation out and then you can get the ones who don't seem to know much. I'd also try during the week and regular working hours as I have had the best CM experiences there.

If that doesn't work, just get the park hopper PLUS ticket which has the pluses on it for the waterparks etc. I'm not a package expert so I can't help there. Sorry.

$800 seems like a lot of money, since they are counting 8 days of LOSthat is 100/day. Still $100/day does not seem right. Good Luck!

Unless you got went through a third-party source, your 7-day Park Hopper should come with 4 bonus options (called a Park Hopper PLUS), each valid for an admission to PI, the water parks, and the WWoSports (not DisneyQuest, however).
You may also be able to purchase an Ultimate Park Hopper/Length of Stay Pass for her upon check-in, but YMMV on this since I do not know if the resort CMs differentiate between a la carte and package guests. It doesn't hurt to ask!

I thought that Fall Fantasy also included vouchers for breakfast every day or something like that. That could be part of the reason why the price is increasing.

What does the package include? For $800 , I would hope it included some meals and not just a LOS pass.

Also, if she's under 18 and since she has the same last name, she could become your "daughter" for the trip. :)

You can get the Fall Fantasy package with or without breakfast.
I would def go the without route, it comes out to be $19 a day
pp. If she is 3-9 or even up to 17 she should only be charged for her passes. Go to Expedia and price the package with all of you to see how that price comes out, then you have a better understanding of the cost when you talk to the cm. Maybe it will show you how in the heck they came up with the $800. Good Luck!

I could never understand wdw packages with hotels / passes / meals. We did do Fall Fantasy once from a travel agent, it was the only way to get the room we wanted (passes weren't included). It's much cheaper a la carte. Packages are a flat rate, per person.

smfnj--thats odd no tickets incl. We got our Fall Fantasy package thru Expedia and we got room and tickets--no breakfast option from them but then again we didnt want it anyway. We got the FF for dh, myself and 2 ds, my mil is going with us but we didnt add her on because she wont be going to the parks everyday with us. I'll just tell the front desk to add her on when we arrive so that way we pay for her part of the room and not unnessesary tickets.

They are correct, unfortunately. The packages are unlike the room only/hopper deals. Each person has to pay for their own "package" and that does include accomodations, passes, and the extras that are thrown in.

My suggestion is to cancel the package and book it room only and buy the hopper tickets that suit you the best. That way, you are paying for the room for the adults, and the only added cost is the hopper ticket for her.

Good luck!

I believe we did this in '95 or '96. We got the room and breakfast option, we had AP's at the time.

That is a good idea especially since there are so many good room only rates for fall (www.mousesavers.com)
