Fruit thru security?

Hi , does anybody know if it is ok to bring apples and bananas in your carry on? I don't want to put in luggage because I'm afraid they will get bruised up, but I wasn't sure if security would allow it. Thanks!

You'll be fine. I think you may be confusing airport security with Customs. If you bought a piece of fruit overseas and tried to bring it home with you they would confiscate it.
