FROZEN in Carbonite! Updating for Halloween at Sea World and Disney

Don't forget to change your clocks tonight! I very much dislike springing forward! I like gaining an hour in the fall.

Spring in Florida is in full bloom. Our trees and bushes are starting to look great. But along with that comes all the pollen and my son is getting hit hard with allergies. He's Tootles in Peter Pan. Has a great part and some really funny scenes. He screams 4 times and between the screams and allergies, he's been on vocal rest since Tuesday. Last night, instead of being careful with his screams, he gave it his all. More vocal rest until tonight's show. All shows have been sold out. He doesn't want to let the audience down!

Along with the allergies comes the runny/stuffy nose. Trying to find stores that carry dye free antihistamines and decongestants is very hard. The red dye makes his motor tics worse. It's a good thing that "kissy face" poses for pictures are an "in" thing, because that's one of his facial tics.

On stage he is totally focused on his blocking and choreography that the tics don't show. Amazingly, his vocal tics don't show while on stage either. He has a very high pitched vocal tic. It wouldn't be able to be missed if it would pop out.

All these rehearsals and shows have cut into our park visits, because spare time is spent doing school work.

Tomorrow ends the run of Peter Pan and it's my birthday! If they finish strike at a decent time, I'd love to head over to the F&G Festival, but that's highly unlikely since the show ends around dinner time.

There have been so many announcements of new stuff at Disney, and rumors of changes and announcements. I'm having a hard time keeping it all straight.

I'm thinking about adding on the FL Resident after 2pm water park pass. It's $69/person for the year. With Olaf being added to BB, I'm giving it some serious thought! Do we have a start date for that yet?

I read something about soft openings for RoL. Hoping to get lucky enough to catch one, but if I remember what I read, they start after the Darkside Challenge?

It will be interesting to see how premium parking plays out. Are people really willing to pay an extra $15 to park close? Wonder how this will affect resort guests who drive? I'm assuming it will be like Universal's parking, right behind the disabled parking.

The other day marked the 2 year birthday of Festival of Fantasy. Love that parade!! I had a really hard time getting FP+ for it.

We were there for the 1st FoF parade. It was Dapper Days. It was our first Dapper Days. The energy was so high and everyone so charged for the new parade. It was the best viewing we've ever had.

Enough rambling. Everyone have a great day!

I completely understand the allergy problem. Austin has them year round, and DH is allergic to dyes. I also can't take decongestants, only antihistamines. Luckily, they aren't bothering me in Orlando right now, like they were yesterday in Austin. Hope you get to get back sooner, but I understand the priorities of being a parent.

I'm sorry to hear about those allergy problems - they are just starting for us up North... spring are the worst for our family! But I always feel like it is good because it means that the warmer weather is coming so I feel like I put up with it better!

That's great that your DS has been so focused on being in the play - we just saw our high school's version of Beauty and the Beast and it was fantastic! I'm sure that you will be spending lots of time at the parks now that the show is ending!

I would love to go to a Dapper Day at MK someday - it just never seems to line up with our trips -

RoL should be amazing when it actually gets going! Can't wait to see how the dining packages are and when they are available to book.

Enjoy your Sunday! This time change is messing with our household - that's for sure!

DS got his voice back yesterday!

Today is my birthday! I'll be spending it with another flight to Neverland to see my son as Tootles!

I wiped out yesterday. Tripped over Smee and fell. Just some scrapes and bruises.

That's right! You are here!! Yay! I hope you are having a great time. Glad the pollen isn't getting to you and yours.

Thanks! My son thrives on stage. I love seeing him up there.

The time change is rough.

Looking forward to seeing RoL info soon.

We have crud in Austin, so the crud here seems to bother us less than there:confused3 We are having a great time. Tomorrow is our last day at Hard Rock/Universal, and we switch to CBR/WDW tomorrow afternoon:woohoo:

We went to DHS last Sunday for a few hours. It was a beautiful day, only getting up to 80 degrees! Checked out the new Star Wars stage show, A Galaxy Far Far Away, Launch Bay, the kids got "jedi-napped" by First Order stormtroopers, and we ended our time with the sing-along. Pictures to come. Just waiting to see if I have permission to post them, one of my son's friends is in them.

Our mini-trip this weekend for the Dark Side Challenge has gotten even more mini. I vowed we weren't heading back home for any of my son's theatre classes, however...blocking for his scene is Thursday. So we are heading back home for the rehearsal, then back to WDW.

He's had quite a big month so far! He's been in the news, in a documentary (though we missed the red carpet night because I was sick), is working on a homeschool showcase, and on another show, and started a film/commercial class. I'm so thankful for all the people who are giving opportunities to our special needs kids and including them!

:bday: Hope it's a good one:)

This is the strangest thing in the world. I didn't see either of these posts before. Thank you for the birthday wishes! Glad you had a great time!

Star Wars A Galaxy Far Far Away Show Review

A friend of ours asked us to meet them last Sunday at DHS. DH was working so ds and I went. Got there before them and just in time to catch the 2:30 Star Wars Far Far Away show. Ended up we had more than enough time as the show was delayed. It was a soft opening!

We were in the third row of people. I'm kid sized and ds is just a pinch taller than me. This was our view of the stage before the show started.

Since we couldn't see the stage, we decided to drop back to the construction wall. Which was a great view until more people arrived and hoisted their kids up on their shoulders.

So we moved again, a little bit further down the wall and had a much better view!

Here are my thoughts on the show. It would make an excellent night time show or actual theatre show. For children, wheelchair, or vertically challenged people like myself, it is difficult to view this show. Unless, something has been set up for kids in front or a wheel chair section, they don't stand a chance of seeing unless in the front row. The screens were difficult to see in full sun. I could not see R2D2 or BB-8 at all. If you want to see the show in all it's glory, it's best to view it online. I saw some incredible video including one here on the DIS!
Please note, in the video, the 1st part is Phasma's march which is not part of the Galaxy Far Far Away Show.

Jedi-Napped!

Our friends met up with us at Launch Bay. It was shortly before 4pm when they found us. So we went right to the Disney Chase Visa M&G.

Once again, my son was quite shy and intimidated by Kylo Ren. His friend, on the other hand, was far from shy and didn't hesitate to tell Kylo Ren what she was thinking. There was NO WAY she was going to join the dark side and she let him know!

We found the jawa afterwards. Didn't have anything to trade, so just a picture this time.

It was almost time for our sing-along FP+ so we left Launch Bay and bumped into the First Order storm troopers. They picked out the jedi and took them with them. I never laughed so hard. My son's friend was trying jedi mind tricks on them and my son thought it was so funny. At the same time, he was intimidated by the troopers.

Getting Jedi-napped was the highlight of their day! A truly magical moment!

That sounds like some great Star Wars interaction! I only got to meet Chewie and the Jawas while I was there.

Glad you found a better view of the show. I am short too, so I really hate when people put kids on their shoulders or let their kids stand on chairs or railings. Go to the back if you are going to do that. I also just think it's dangerous in a crowd. The Troopers sound awesome.

It is very rare for the stormtroopers to stop for people. They usually keep about their business. Apparently they have pre-recorded things to say because today we saw them trying to tell someone to stop smoking by using only their hands. The cm with them explained where the guest was allowed to smoke.

I really feel for the kids. Because they have no chance of seeing the show if they aren't in the first row.

Today I got advice from a pro on how to get the pictures of the Phasma March. Now that show was incredible! I got great pictures. But again, if you are short, you aren't going to see much if you aren't in the front row. I let a little kid cut in front of me so she could see.

For the First Time in Forever...ok, less than a week!

Our day is not complete without a stop at the sing-along. There was a time back during the first FSF where we practically lived there and were permanent fixtures. My son still likes Frozen almost as much as Star Wars. We are excited for Norway's Frozen attractions!

In the mean time, some pictures from the sing-along. SWW friends will recognize Aria.

I love how each historian brings their own twist to the show and how when paired with different historians the show changes. I also love how different historians deliver the same lines differently making it theirs.

The fog makes it look like Aria passed gass, lol.

See the black spot in the next picture? That's a snow flake. The snow machines glitches and we were attacked by giant soap bubbles!

The last time, a snow flake landed on Eric's head, this time it was his face, lol.

DS got waved to and kisses blown to him.

Always the best day ever!

DS didn't want to go this year. However, last year, he sang his heart out. It's so cute with his high-pitched little boy voice.

Aww, I love hearing that. My son is losing his high soprano. He still sings there at the top of his lungs though.

His voice recital is going to be movie themed. His voice coach is thinking of him singing In Summer. That is if they can find it in the right vocal range. Today his voice was not up to park with an upper respiratory infection. Which needs to go away so we can swim at the resort this weekend!

I hope he gets to feeling better. It's definitely that time of year here. Everyone is hacking, sneezing, and coughing, but it's mainly due to Oak allergies. I did notice the same tree droppings in Orlando, so I guess they have Live Oaks too:(
