We are going to MK on a Wensday in mid May. We already have FP+ for the frozen girls at 1:00pm. I heard that the FP+ line could still be 1 to 2 hours long even with FP+ that late in the day. I went in to see if I could change it to the morning and it seems there is no other times available. So my question is which line do you think would be shorter from 1:00pm to 2:00pm Frozen girls FP+ or Merida standby?

Any guesses as to the length of the FP+ lines are just that... guesses. I don't think there is anyone who can answer your question with any degree of accuracy. You'll need to wait until the Elsa and Anna meet and greet in Fairy Tale Hall actually opens and we start getting live reports.

I have heard that there are 2 rooms on either side of Fairy Tale Hall, so most likely there will be 2 sets of Elsa and Anna greeting at the same time. That should help significantly with the waits.

Hope you are right about the doubles. Since the Frozen girls still have meet and greet times during the 3:00 parade they will need three sets then.

I hope so too. This is the top thing my DD wants to do this trip. When it looked like we'd be waiting multiple hours for the meet & greet in Norway, I'd spoken to one of DD's babysitters who will be down at WDW at the same time as us. I'd asked her if I could pay her to join us in Epcot one day and I would wait in line while she took DD to do things. Now that we can hopefully score fastpasses for this, we can still meet up with the babysitter and her family (babysitter's mom is a good friend of mine), but have fun together rather than me being stuck in an hours long line.

Do they still have the characters greet during the parade? I thought they usually shut down the meet & greets of the characters that are in the parade for the length of the parade to maintain the illusion that there's only one of each character.

And I'd recommend you repost your question a few days after 4/20 if someone hasn't already started a thread for people to post their Anna and Elsa wait times.

That is what I thought too (keeping the illusion that there is only one) however when I was checking times they gave me the option to pick a time which was during the parade so I just don't know. I had hopes that we would only have to wait a half hour so we could get some other rides in. Guess I may have been way off on that one. Our times are from 1:05 to 2:05 so hopefully If I got there by 1:30 we would not have to wait more than 1 hour so we can also get a FP+ for the parade.

Thanks for the recommendation. I will plan on that.

I read somewhere that one room of FTH will be Anna and Elsa while the other room will be Cinderella and Rapunzel. But you're right that the live reports from 4/20 on will confirm all our suspicions :)

There are two rooms of each; four rooms in total.

The point of FP+ is not to stand in a 1 or 2 hour line so I have to believe they have (hopefully) wisely allocated the # of FP that they are releasing for Anna and Elsa.

I would do Merida standby and Anna / Elsa with FP as you originally planned.

I believe they only stop character greets during parade if they are visible from the parade route. If you are waiting in FTH or Ariel's grotto to meet them you will not be seeing the parade so they don't have to worry about you seeing double. Now, when the princesses were greeting in town hall we once walked out of princess meet right as afternoon parade was going by, with the princesses and their princes. Woops!
Also, yes, there will be 2 sets of A&E greeting, this is why it was moved out of Norway and into FTH, so they could "double" the capacity.

There are 2 sets of rooms on each side of PFTH and without a doubt there will be 2 sets of Friends of Anna and Elsas meeting each day. I too, have heard all the speculations about the waiting times with FP+ and the nightmare scenarios that it could stretch 2-3 hours even with a FP. However, for those who have been to PFTH, you know that there simply is no queue line to hold that kind of line of people without having them spill out allover Fantasyland and causing a serious traffic jam. I certainly hope Disney is wise to that fact.

I personally have a 9:15am FP+ for 4/20, so I will see personally how long the wait will be. Although I can imagine the afternoon times will be much worse. When Flynn Rider was visiting from 9-5 on Valentine's Day, the FP+ line backed up quite a bit. We had a FP for him around 10am and waited about 30 mins (the longest we've ever had to wait in a FP queue at PFTH) but I have heard others waited substantially longer later in the afternoon.

Disney has enough experience at all of this by now that there's no way that FP return line should be THAT out of whack.
