Frontier or Northwest Airlines?

I just found today that Frontier Airlines will begin flying from our closest airport in May (just before our trip). They have an introductory rate going, and I could get a flight for the three of us for $578. The next cheapest right now is NWA, which I could get for $613. So I have a couple of questions:

1. Have you used Frontier? I've never heard of it, so I'm looking for good/bad feedback.

2. Should I go ahead and snap up one of these, since everything else is running $150-200 more (total), and just hope it doesn't go on sale later?

Thanks in advance!

I've used Frontier and I love flying on them!

Their Airbus aircraft have seatback DirectTV that you can watch for $5. They have a very new fleet of planes and their flight attendants are very good in my experience.

I'd book on Frontier without hesitation.
