*sigh* here we go again. I'm happy to say I survived the WestJet pilot strike kerfuffle (thanks, @Shanti for the heads up on that one) but it wasn't pretty, and SUPER stressful, as their cooling off period date ended just a few days before we were slated to fly out for our Alaskan cruise. It was an incredibly stressful ordeal, even though I did everything right (I think anyway.) I bought airfare 5+ months in advance, and there was no way to know at the time. I had travel insurance, which many only covers you if your flight actually gets cancelled, and even then, it's at a percentage that's just not enough for last minute flights. And I was flying in the day before.
So if you're flying Frontier or planning on buying tickets with Frontier, heads up. I really hope it works out for them, and I do NOT want anyone to go through the stress I went through with WestJet because that was just painful, and still leaves a bad emotional scar about my air travels to Canada. I loved Alaska, and really, Canada too, but the ordeal still has me traumatized.
