give kids the world? co workers child qualified for the program and is going for a week in July. she told me they get a lanyard or button the gets them Front of line at any disney ride. not fastpass but right past everyone and on ya go. her young man has an auto immune disorder but is in school and gets around like you and me he mostly has to worry about getting sick because just a cold can progress into something very bad...anyway. can anyone verify that claim one way or another?...oh..... and i dont care if it is so. if it is great for them.......but if she is mis informed i just want to be able to let her know so she can plan accordingly. she has allready said she does not need to get there early or worry about ride times etc.

Sort of. They qualify for a special guest assistance card which will allow them to use the fastpass entrance. They still have to wait with the others in the FP line. If they have a wheelchair or scooter in the group, the wait is sometimes longer due to ride loading restrictions.

Whenever I have seen GKTW kids in the parks they are wearing a special button that reflects they are with GKTW and yes ever time I have seen them go to the front of the attraction, no matter what the attraction was.

Just what I have observed.

Yes, my neice qualified for a trip last fall and they were given buttons to wear. They would queue up as usual and the CMs would pull them out of line (or grab them before they got into line) and send them in through the exit.

Give your friend a warning, though, that there are always a certain number of people in line who will LOUDLY complain/inform them that they are going in the wrong way etc, etc because the CMs do not escort them all the up to the ride. Just tell them to ignore the busybodies or just point to their buttons (as my SIL did) and continue on their way :goodvibes
