Front mounting kit for auto tags?

I think my van came with it but I tossed it at some point. Where might I find this and how is it installed? There is a spot on my van for it...but no holes.

You might want to try Advance Auto or Auto Zone or whatever is in your area. You can get the kits there and they will mount them for you.

Good question. When I lived in Virginia we had two plates on the car. No one I know seems to know why some states have one plate and others have two.

We've always had two plates here in IL.

One of the reasons that I've heard is that it's easier for law enforcement. As you drive, you see the front of many more cars than you do the back so it's easier for them to spot a car that they may be looking for.

That makes sense but doesn't explain why some states decided to make it easier on law enforcement and others don't. NC, SC, GA, FL all have one plate and VA is the southern most state that has two...of course VA is the only state that doesn't allow radar detectors.

Yeah, I've always wondered why some states only require one. Missouri has always required 2. It seems to me that a vehicle should be identifiable both front and back.
