Are you planning on spending any time at DL afterward. We didn't last year but are planning on it this year year. Want to stay in the new GCV.

We're planning to spend 3-4 nights at GCV or VGC whichever it is. We'll be on the phone in February to make sure we get the villa we want.

After the cruise I think I am just going to go up to the airport. Then hop in my car and drive the five min. home.

HELP! I'm trying to set up a google spreadsheet so that everyone can enter their own data. The spreadsheet is good to go, but we're having access issues. Can someone who knows what their doing with Google docs, please help me?

I have figured it out, what columns were you thinking about putting on it?

I am definitely not a graphic artist but you will be happy to know that my offering has nothing to do pirates! About as far away from pirates as possible :) I am hoping if people like mine..someone can help me fix it.. I am more of a concept type then the artist.
Well I look forward to seeing it. Glad to hear no pirates.
In 2008 we had to drive home (Mom can not fly) so this time it will be nice being able to come home after within half an hour!
Once I am back at LAX and the car loaded with the bags, five min and I am home. If I make the lights it will be faster than that. I love living so close to were I work as well.

Well we did it, the wife and I booked the PC Cruise we where having second thoughts because of the price but we said what the heck, it only happens once. It is going to be a fabulous time, can not wait. We usually sail with a Verandah but we decided to go with a Ocean View room on Deck 6, we will be spending most of our time doing things around the ship anyway. Can't wait to see all the smiles when we board in Jan 2011, see everyone then.:cool1::yay::firefightprincess:

Question for those of you who have done the PC cruise before or are more familiar with the terminal down there.

We live in Central CA - and would usually fly out of a bay area airport. If we fly and park near LAX where do you suggest we spend the night and how far is it from LAX to the terminal? Or any other ideas fellow CA'ers. ??

It's not that far from LAX to the terminal..there are some hotels that will allow you to stay and park and some even have shuttles to get you to the pier. I will see if I can find our list from 2008 on suggestions.

It will take us about 30 minutes to get home but that's ok..beats the 4 days in 2008!

Since I work from home as a TA...I love just making my way down the hall...it helped at 4:30 this morning! :rotfl2:

If you look at a map, from LAX, take the 105 west to the 110 south. That's it. Good signage on the 110 south to direct you to the port once you get close. I would say it should take no more than 20 min.

That sounds great!! Our drive will be a little longer, about 25 minutes.....but it sure beats a long flight!!! :thumbsup2

Congratulations to all those who booked!!

I don't know about everyone else, but I am just thrilled about getting a room pretty much where we want for about the amount we wanted.
Now I can started posting more and get to know everyone!

It does. Our new rule of thumb for cruises that end in FL. We will stay at least 2 nights at WDW after just to wind down a little.

After a few miscues, all is well - we're set with a 9A GTY for now.

Thanks to all for info and hints along the way, will be in semi-background mode, at least for a while, but look forward to joining in many DIS activities - learned from the best here in the past, and I must say it added so much to our prior cruises - FE's, meets, stateroom tours, wine/beer/whatever tastings:drinking1:
(saw some earlier posts re: cheese & spirits - ahh, kindred spirits, as it were)

Next challenge - finding info on what/where in NYC for DREAM announcements - I WISH they'd bring the ship here!

Mum and dad are so pleased to be going, dad has a boat, biggest canal so far is the Union, he is excited, heee, hee.
They are,sorry will be, 60 and 62 ( i think)
.

They will have LOTS of playmates in their age group. :thumbsup2

I'll probably play in Disneyland Fri and Sat and drive home on Sunday with NotSoLittleMermaid. I'm about 5 1/2 hours from there.

I was thinking about getting a DLR annual pass for my birthday this year...perhaps I should wait till the end of January, so cruise arrival date will be covered. :scratchin

Hmmmmm....looks like I'll be skewing the WBTA/WBPC side-by-side comparison sheet a bit. It's becoming apparent which one I'd rather do!

We are at the villas (actually the newly installed pool) as I type...I don't think you will be disapointed. The view from a California Adventure view villa:

We just transfered our WB TA repo to the WB PC repo, and we are stoked...staying at the Grand California Villas while getting the PC repo...how can you lose? (Although the PC repo in a cat4b seems rather, well, EXPENSIVE!)
