I'm not really into astronomy but DH and both of the kids are. DS is only 3 and he loves to look at the moon, stars and planets with his daddy. He found a rock in the yard the other day and he told me it was from a meteor! Anyway, I just told DH this and he said that is awesome. He said he'll definitely make sure to see it. Won't be the first (or last) time that he's gotten up in the middle of the night/early in the morning to see something in the sky!

I wonder if we will be able to get room service to bring out coffee and snacks to deck 10 for a planned out 4:00 am viewing?

Since I plan I snoozing away the day on a beach in Aruba, I don't mind waking up at 3:30 am to view something I may never see again.

Katherine

Tami,
The Santa is awesome!

Des,
The VGC Grand Villas pics are great! Thanks for sharing.

Des,

The Grand Villa pics are fantastic. We would love to stay at a place like that sometime. Not being DVC owners though, I doubt we will. It looks great though!!!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Well since the talk has moved to excursions, I already know what I am doing in each port. CC. Lunch at Serenity Bay and a trip on the new Pelecian Plunge. Then the next time I get off the ship right now I will be going through U.S. Customs in L.A. Yup that's right. I plan on a lot of ship apprecation time.
Sounds like a plan:thumbsup2

My sister lives in Russia and has special Santa's made for family members. She asked me what I wanted on my Santa and I said Chip and Dale. This is what I got for Christmas. I was speechless. I sooooo love it.

Isn't it amazing??!!
Yes, it sure is,amazing Tami!
That is so funny you say that. On the WB Repo in 08 I was so looking forward to PV and then I go out on deck turn my head, and there was that huge Walmart right at the port . I was so saddened by that I stayed on the ship. Seeing a huge U.S. store like that in a foregin port just killed my day.
Len was behind me reading and just said that you said before I got to your post if you know what I mean!
Yes. It will be easily visible from both Aruba and Panama.

The downside is, best viewing will be around 4 or 5 AM and it won't be visible at all until around 1AM.
Lens very excited about this.
Where is the least light on board?

You will probably be up and about at 5am on Panama Canal day. Plus you get coffee and pastries provided on deck!!:yay:

Just beautiful.

The GV pics are awesome as well - and what a view! In a few years we will need to book some time for DL and then cruise the Wonder again.

Have a grand day everyone!

Except you'll be trying to find it directly through the lights of Colon....

The best day will probably be 5am on the first day after the canal, followed by the day before the canal :)

And weather of course can play a huge factor.

Good thing about repeating the PC is that I don't need to get up at stupid o'clock (phrase borrowed from Brent the cruise director) to see the ship enter the canals. And I've seen the Southern Cross so I don't need to get up for that either. I'll do port excursions though. Definitely getting off the ship in Cabo.

Disneyland question. In 07 we were able to use our WDW park hopper tickets. Does that still work? We will go Friday and Saturday and maybe a little bit on Sunday.

We got up and made our DVC ressies this morning..decided to stay 2 nights before the cruise. Since we are there only 2 nights..we opted to book a villa we have never stayed in...treehouse villas..

Hope everyone has a great day!

From what I understand you can use regular WDW MYW tickets at DL but not WDW annual passes.

Howdy All ~~ I've decided to leap off the lurker benches and activate my account!! My family -- me, DH & DD (14 at sailing), possibly MIL & her friend -- will be sailing in 2 cabins. As you can tell from my signature, this isn't our 1st ::MickeyMo cruise -- yes, we LOVE the ::MickeyMo -- but it is our 1st PC crossing and we are very excited!

Hi and welcome. This will be our 2nd PC crossing, we loved the first one so much, and there are a couple of different ports this time too!!

Welcome! This is only our second cruise. We loved it so much in December we just had to book again. Since DH has always wanted to see the Panama Canal and I didn't want to get off after a week, this was a perfect fit for us.

BTW, we're from the Houston area too!
