Mmmmm...yummy! I couldn't remember what was in it... but will have to look for that one next year.. LOL

I can not remember who was looking at doing a vow renewal on the cruise next year... called on one today for a client and they do not yet have the pricing for them. They said they won't have it until approximately May - Since we are a year away from the cruise, you may be able to "hold" the spot. It doesn't cost you anything until the final payment.

They only do 3 on the cruise.. 1 on CC and 2 onboard.

Just FYI!

Am not. You are already making me zipline, you can't make me eat boring food!! I'll be in the place that makes martinis. Now Palo brunch...that's different.

This is a women after my own heart!

Can any of you tell me anything about zip lines? Where? Links?

Any information would be appreciated. :)

Good morning cruisers!

Welcome to Puntarenas!

Today's high will be 93 degrees with a 20% chance of rain.. currently 81 and partly cloudy.

The favorite local drink is the Cuba libre ...

Have a wonderful day! The ship sails at 6:00 PM so make sure you are back on board in time!

I love these! When I'm not ignoring my housework, I'm day dreaming about this trip!

Pahrumphgirl who is on this cruise did one on the 2008 PC cruise. She loved it as did others. I think they did it in Puerta Vallarta, but I also think another port offered this excursion.

I bet Costa Rica offer this and it would be wonderful there.

DH and I did do this in Puerto Vallarta. We had a great time. DH is afraid of heights but loved it enough he would like to do it again. And we are not young. We were 60 and 64 at the time. I loved the zip line part but wasn't too thrilled with the platforms because they had holes in them and the only thing to hold on to was the tree (you were securely tethered to the tree so you really weren't going anywhere). The part that I really disliked (but it wouldn't stop me from doing it again) was a bridge they had between two trees. It was made from the same stuff as the platforms (which meant holes you could see through) and the only thing you could hold on to was a rope that was about knee high. Again, you were securely anchored but I like to hold on to something so I practically went across on my knees. Will post some pictures as soon as I can.

Thank you for the pictures. I ziplined in Costa Rica and LOVED it. :thumbsup2 I would love for my DH to get to do it and one of the ports.

Good morning cruisers!

Welcome to a day at sea! The temperature outside is 80 degrees and partly cloudy. The waves are at .05. A beautiful day!

The gift shops are open! there will be a bingo game at sometime today and the drink of the day is the Margarita!

Enjoy!

Don't do it, it's called the goofy for a reason. Though we'll be at sea for Marathon Weekend 2011.

You and me both!

Well, TGIF is what I have to say! Took the afternoon off and we are heading to Traverse City to see DH's heart doc. He has a leaky valve that they monitor so it is just his yearly check. Hopefully we get a free pass - forever would be nice but at least for another 20 or 30 years. Taking the dog with us and then heading to Pet Smart and will take him in to pick out a new toy - we have never done that before so it should be a real experience. I also want to go to Borders and get The Path Between the Seas and see if I can manage to get through it. We shall see - it may take me until this cruise gets here to get it read.

Take care - be safe and have a grand weekend.

glindamood - Good luck at the doctor. Those types of appointments always make me nervous.

Has anyone thought about airfare yet? I saw that southwest has booking available out until August. Since they do not charge for bags yet, I am guessing that is the way to go.

i want a margarita.

will have to find a flight from the Washington area to Orlando on the night of 1/5. I can't take the day off work so it'll have to be an evening flight which lets SWA out unless I can snag one from Baltimore, if I end up with Airtran or USAirways I will pay for one bag because I'm only checking one bag. Gonna take SWA home from Orange County on a reward flight (free!!)

I only have to fly to Florida and we'll rent a car in LA and drive home to Phoenix. Of course, there may be a night or two at Disneyland!

Now that's a thought. Haven't really decided what we are going to do for flights, but we could drive home from LA. But then it might depend on whether we spend time in LA/Disneyland after the cruise. Still all up in the air.

Carol,

Thank you for the pictures. I've been dreaming of doing this in Costa Rica. I have vertigo (why yes, I am a dizzy blond!) and I'm worried about overcoming that.

Do you know if there are age limits? I would love to do this w/ dc 8 & 7.

Gail,

Let us know how the appointment went. I had my yearly heart checkup last month and everything is good. I have a family history of heart problems and make a yearly checkup part of my routine.

Ladies and gentlemen,

If you've never had one or it's been a while since you got one, please have a heart exam. It's pretty quick and is painless. Think you can't do the bike or the treadmill? Let me be your inspiration! If I can do it anyone can!!! Do what I did, go with a friend. Just go.
