Yahoo - it is Saturday! Snowing like the dickens and I need to go to the grocery store when all I really want to do is stay home. I did get the beginning of my Christmas baking started last night - just a double batch of chocolate chip but it is a start. Only problem with starting early is they will be gone - guess I best go organize the freezer and get them in there and out of sight of the DH.

Linda - tell Bruce we said HI - is he skiing??

It's snowing here today too, but it hasn't been cold enough to make snow and the two inches we've gotten today won't be sufficient to ski on.

Well, I'm losing weight and have two formals available that I would be willing to give away to anyone who thinks they might fit them. The first is a full length plain black with a low cut back with drapey white fabric (very sexy back) size 18. The second is a 15/16 two piece full length deep rose. The skirt is I believe organza over acetate, the top is halter style but laces like a corset in back so is adjustable. The top has pretty stitching detail and sequins. If anyone is interested, PM me and I can email a photo or just mail you the dress. If it doesnt work for you maybe you can pass it on to someone else. Let me know.

I'm on my way down too - and last cruise (last month) gave away some of my 'undergrown' clothing. If the cruise were tomorrow, I'd say PLEASE please please may I have the size 18 - but heaven only knows what I'll be by this time next year.

We must have 6 or 8 inches of snow but I have no idea if the slopes are open. It has not been all that cold - and it rained most of Thanksgiving week which I don't imagine is conclusive to making snow. It is in the 20's though so maybe...

Good morning everyone. It's been a while since I posted, probably before we left for WDW back in October. Ooops! But I am caught up on the goings on here - thank goodness this thread doesn't move too fast.

We had snow here in Big D on Wednesday. It was crazy... I pulled out of the garage at 7:30 to take DS to school and it was just raining. But as I drove the first block I noticed "drops" that almost seemed like they could have been snow. But then I thought they must have just been big rain drops. By the time I got past the first major intersection, about 1/2 mile from home it was definitely snow mixed in with the rain. And when we pulled up to DS's school, about 4.5 miles from home, it was just lots and lots of pretty snow blowing down. The kids were having a blast sticking their tongues out to catch it. I hurried home after that to get DD up and ready for school. Good thing I had her look out the window at the snow falling because by the time we left the house at 8:45 it had totally stopped snowing and anything that had stuck to leaves/grass/mailboxes was already mostly melted. Now it's just cold - YUCK!!!

13 months......I was moaning that I had to wait so long between cruises (Sept '09 to Jan '11)....THEN......got a phone call from a DIS pal who is a travel agent....



End result, cruising in about 48 days on a Magic Western with a TA discount! Three of us in a verandah $443 each (no transfers, no insurance, INCLUDES tips). There was no way I could walk away from that, especially since I had just cancelled my WBTA and had $600 in deposits refunded to me. So I WILL be getting a 2010 cruise!

As Ian would say, "You're a Lucky Ducky!" Sure wish we could get in a cruise, or even another Disney trip, between now and 1/2011 but I just don't see that happening. Have a great time!

Had a tough weekend at work, had an intruder!!! Me and him walked into each other at the back door, which leads to the yard, scared me senseless(or something like that!) Anyway , then I went to run(away,obviously) and I fell over my laces(which were not tied) to be fair he probably got as big as fright as me, so then, the police and police dogs came, they got some one, Vet id him in a drive past! then the police got called away, then they came back at 3.30am for statement, (still no sleep) then at 4.30 went to bed and lay awake spooking myself till 6am when it got daylightish, then I got to sleep, then..... wait for it, cid came to take finger prints at 7.30, it has been a hellish busy day, even had some one pull me up on the phone cause I called her Miss, she says" I am a mrs " I say" I am sorry" then she says, " Its just that it bugs me when folk call me Miss and Im a mrs" I said(under my breath) Well excuse me if I am too busy dealing with rtas, heart failure,cats attacked by dogs etc to ask your maritail status, oh and by the way, Miss is much better than the a***ole I am calling you now.

Glad I got that off my chest!

Wonder if she was a newlywed?? I get called sir on the phone every once and awhile (my voice must be really deep) and sometimes, it comes in handy as they think I am DH and sometimes, I get a huge kick out of correctling them.

Progress in the Lindamood house with the tree - it has lights but since I had to throw out 3 strands because they didn't work, I can't go any further until I get some more tomorrow. Got my cookie list together so I can shop and my gilft list too.

I got the "silver stuff" in our tree, but didn't have enough, for some reason, it fit in the same tree last year, so I need to get some more. Drat. I was in the craft shop yesterday. I suppose I could just take some out and rearrange it leaving some spaces . . . hmm.

Tomorrow, it's back to the daily grind. Hope everyone had a relaxing weekend.

Now there is some good news. Not that someone can not make a trip, but that theming is going away. Well, when it is gone ii just may join up. On to other things. It is raining and cold. I don't live here and put up with our tax rate for this weather.
